Summary: the book that began my life
Review: a few weeks ago i just happened to be looking for a book to tell me something about meditation. this was the first one i grabbed off the shelf, and the moment i started to read the back cover i could feel this was the one for me. osho presents methods that are imediately inpacting and easy to understand. he speaks in a language of feeling that everyone can understand. i'm still shocked that whenever i read through a few sentences in this book i'll find myself getting tears in my eyes because i know this is what it's all about. finally acknowledgement. finally appreciation. and it turns out we had it all along

Summary: The Freedom within
Review: Osho has ever been known as a Mystic, enlightened master who worldwide created a rebellion for the sake of man's freedom and meditation. Osho said "Meditation is not something new; you have come with it into the world. Mind is something new, meditation is your nature." Meditation is an adventure itself. The book has notes to reader on how to use the book with a followed chapter on What is meditation. Osho has steps to powerful methods of awakening, Osho Meditative Therapies as:
1.Mystic Rose Meditation with his great logic and instructions for laughter and tears
2. The No mind Meditation with instructions to meditate, stages of gibberish or conscious craziness, witnessing and let go.
3. Guidelines for Born Again
4. Dancing as meditation
5. Laughing Meditation
6. Prayer Meditation
7. Dream mastery
Many more various meditative tips making one count the moments of awareness, making things simple as possible and witnessing - Meditation is your Master Card and Osho just instructs on the tricks of mind in this book. Watching with the Third Eye, Rising in Love, Laughter of Zen, Entering into death, Music as Meditation are some interesting reads in this Osho book leading to first and last freedom - Practical guide of Meditation. A good read.

Summary: Dancing on fire
Review: Osho understood western men as nobody else, especially anybody in the West, and he created meditation techniques which are 100 % effective - but they MUST BE guided by someone who has done them before and experienced meditation (not just technique itself) and had reached to his being and knows who he really is, not what he thinks he is. Yes, Osho took parts of his techniques from others (STOP and some other are for exemple of Gurdjieff), but he KNEW why and how! So, if you are just doing his techniques without deep understanding why and how they should be done, there are almost no chances to transform yourselve. I recommend you to find someone who knows how and why this should be done. Masters for this are, but they are rare. I'm lucky to know Bodin of Bindu (see www.dancingonfire.org), who is one of real maters.
Recommended.

Summary: Great Introductory Work
Review: The book, Meditation, is a good introduction both to meditation and to Osho's works in digital, print, audio and video formats.

Having already read and admired The Book of Secrets (112 ancient meditation techniques with commentary by Osho), I can say that The Book of Secrets may be difficult for some without some background reading, and the book Meditation is the right place to begin before reading and studying The Book of Secrets.

The book, Meditation, includes the modern active techniques by Osho as well as other materials to provide a thorough overview for the beginner, re-beginner and long-time meditator. Peace.

Summary: "This will be my bible."
Review: When Osho was asked whether to print this book, he looked at the content and responded, "Yes, publish it. This will be my bible." And so it has proved to be. Allowing so many of people like me to understand the simple, scientific principles of meditation, and with so many different ways to approach it. A jewel.
