Rating: Summary: "Thank You, Tony Robbins" Review: A well crafted book detailing how Manny Ibay used Tony Robbin's advice, ideas and strategies from his books and audio programs to significantly improve the quality of his life.Between the chapters include various excerpts from Manny's success journal in which he writes about his goals, how he went about accomplishing them and how he motivated himself to take action to produce the results he desired. The author also writes about how he overcame his past failures and the obstacles to reaching his goals in all areas of his life including personal, business, financial, emotional. There is a lot of great ideas and advice in this book to which anyone can easily apply to their life no matter where they are. Definately a must for anyone who has been using Tony Robbin's products and for anyone who is thinking of / has had difficulty remaining committed to using a personal development program to gain an insight into the kind of results they can expect.

Rating: Summary: Thank You, Manny Ibay!!! Review: Great read! If you have read a Tony Robbins book, listened to a tape, or have seen him live, then this book is for you! Manny shows how he started with just a great attitude and a belief system to having everything he has ever wanted. Hard work, dedication, and a persistence to accomplishing what you want is what lies ahead for the reader. I look forward to reading more of Mr. Ibay's work. To think, this book started as a thank you note to Tony Robbins. A job well done.
Rating: Summary: A Great Synopsis of Tony Robbins' Work Review: Having been a fan of Tony Robbins' work for the past seven years, I believe he offers some amazingly effective strategies and a winning philosophy for overcoming challenges and getting more out of life. It all comes from within the individual, but as I've seen in his live seminars, Robbins really knows how to get individuals of all ages, backgrounds and nationalities to "get off their butts," tap into the inner strength and resources we all have, and bring their lives to a new level. There's no substitution for Tony's various audio programs (like "The Time of Your Life" and "Get The Edge") or his live seminars -- some of which are astoundingly expensive. That being said, Manny Ibay's book plays a very important role -- showing the reader (in great detail) exactly how one individual (the author) assessed what he didn't like about "the status quo," and how Robbins' audio programs "lit a fire" and triggered his desire to start making some big changes -- going for a better job, more control over his life, etc. Not only do we see how Manny evolved over ten years of using Robbins' programs, but he also does a very nice job of giving the reader a synopsis of the Robbins' strategies. I know that not everyone is "open" to Tony Robbins, and many are turned off by this "Infomercial King." (Robbins has certainly made a nice living from his work, but that takes nothing away from the effectiveness of what he teaches.) Also, I've seen enough of his work to know -- and learned through conversation with Robbins himself -- that he has a very sincere desire to help others, and that his work really has had enormous value to a incredibly wide range of people around the world -- from those striving to be "the ultimate student," to those confronting terminal illness, to others who find themselves deserted by a spouse after decades of marriage. Ibay may not win any National Book Awards for glittering prose, but in terms of an inspiring message and real value in terms of offering a concrete example for transforming one's life, I can't say enough about this book!
Rating: Summary: More like, I love you Tony Robbins!! Review: I don't know, guys, maybe Im just a cynic by nature. It just seems every one of of these 'personal development' books are a lot of mumbo jumbo to me. I have read one of Robbins' books and done PP2, so I decided to give this one a try. The title itself and the plot of the book was different so I decided to read it. Basically, it's about one man's journey with the Robbins' stuff and how he used his 'material' to turn his life around. His idea, admittidely, is good, how a normal 'joe'could use Robbins' stuff for his life instead of most of the people you see who are already rich and famous when they employ him. But reading the book is almost like a love letter to Tony. It seems the author is so in love with him. Not only that, but for a man who is a laywer by trade, the book could easily have easily been passed for work by a seventh grader. There is absolutely no new material, just a rehash in the first person of Robbins' stuff. Overall, I found the book very uninspiring and downright boring at times.
Rating: Summary: Thank you, Manny Ibay Review: I just finished reading the book a second time.. This book was so incredibly good that I had to re-read it a second time - never before in my life have I re-read a book without waiting at least a minimum of one year, but this time I re-read it within a month! And I completely enjoyed reading it this second time! Despite the title, this book isn't just a book thanking Tony Robbins, but also a guide on how to use Tony's tools to change your life with many inspiring examples from Manny's life. It's quite refreshing to read a book from a user of someone else personal achievement product. There are so many interesting perspectives on Tony's tools that during my second read of the book, I made even more distinctions about important facets of personal achievements. Also, this past 3 weeks, I've started using a number of the suggestions Manny made in his books which have impacted him, and those suggestions have really benefited me a great deal too. (Thanks Manny!) Having said all that, this book is not for everyone. It is not for those people who: 1) Are completely closed minded about Tony Robbins and his tools and not willing to try anything new 2) Are not willing to look at other people's examples and learn from them in order to improve their own life However, this book is a great book for everyone else! I look forward to reading another book from Manny in 10 years! All in all as you can tell, I highly recommend this book.
Rating: Summary: Outstanding Book Review: I loved this book. It was very inspirational and inspiring - one of the best books I've read in a long time (and I read a fair number of books). I've read TR's books and listened to his audiotapes before, but had recently being led astray in that I did not practice his stuff. However, this book re-opened my eyes to TR's message and proves that TR's tools and techniques, applied consistently can truly make a huge impact in someone's life. I don't normally like reading the same book twice, but I am looking forward to re-reading this book.
Rating: Summary: Even worse the second time Review: I wrote my original review for this book about a month ago. Then, I figured I may I missed some info and I decided to read it again. After seeing the one negative review out of all the others here, I thought that was sour grapes. But after I read it agian, the reviewer was correct. This man is more shallow than a kid's pool. I have no doubt that this book was just another attempt to make more money, too. He continuosly talks about his BMW, mercedes, and of course, his vacations. At the end of his book, he talks about his future goals, and taking his marriage to the next level is number 6! Also, he mentions that 'matinees were a stretch'. Are you kidding? I don't think that someone at rock bottom thinks about the movies at all. Did anyone notice that he seemed so in love with Tony Robbins, too? In the end, a terrible book that is not worth the read.
Rating: Summary: Great book that can motivate/pump start anyone Review: thank you, tony robbins is a terrific "handbook" for anyone who's curious about tony robbins' program as well as anyone who's gone thru tony's program and wants a quick reminder. manny does an excellent job of helping his readers understand what it's like to go thru this transformation. for people who have gone thru tony's program, this book was enjoyable as well. my wife and i had gone thru tony's programs over the past ten years, from the PPII tapes to the Unlimited Power Wknd, and ultimately signing up for master university and having 3 great trips to fiji, monterey, and hawaii for tony's in depth programs manny's book reminded me of the fabulous journey that i've had, and he also reminded me of how exciting it is to live the life we ultimately deserve. lastly, he also reminded me of how much i have to be grateful for each day. as tony says, if wanting something and working hard was easy - then everyone would already be rich and successful. for many who have knowledge and desire, sometimes it's just a few tips or reminders of applying what we already know to get to that next level. how does this apply? what if a $... book w/ great coaching tips could make the difference between have an ok/good life and having your dream life? for me, manny's book is a great place to start your journey or to be reminded of the joys of our own journey. highly recommend for people of all background and age groups.
Rating: Summary: Thank you Manny Ibay! Review: This is really a fantastic book! It is the 1st of its kind to show you how someone actually used Tony Robbins' information and strategies to create incredible changes in one's life. Manny's inspirational book tells about how he overcame his past failures to reach his goals in all areas of his life; personal, business, financial, emotional. I have tried time and again to finish the Robbins materials, but never seemed to make it through. After picking this book up, it was just the motivation I needed to complete the course! I am even reviewing what I learned to master the materials. If you are not satisfied with where you are in life you really need 2 things - Tony Robbins materials and Manny Ibay's book! Manny's book is a MUST for anyone who has been using Tony Robbin's products and for anyone who is thinking of, or has had difficulty remaining committed to using Tony's materials.
