Summary: This book changed my life...
Review: ...truly! We spend all of our lives WANTING - thinking something out there will make us happy. If we have the perfect body, skin, man, career, kids, whatever...THEN we will be happy. I have truly spent my whole life believing this, that if I could somehow make myself BETTER, I'd be happy. This book is like a thump on the head. Hell-oooo??? No one is perfect, and the people who appear perfect, well, no one wants to be around them anyway! This book makes you realize that the GOOD stuff is already here. Cherish your friends and family. Be a real person. Be yourself!

Summary: Very funny book!
Review: Funny, easy read - kept me laughing the entire time! Helped me realize that I should just give up trying to be perfect and think about what really makes me happy. My priorities have now changed and I feel so much better about myself and my own imperfections. Every time I start to revert back to my old self, I pick up the book again for a quick laugh and reality check. I recommend it to all women that are trying to be perfect or have already given up on it and need some reassurance that they are on the right track to happiness! Or for men that want their women to slow down and enjoy life a little more!

Summary: A Lesson on Life
Review: I loved this book. I bought it because I thought it would be a really quick, funny read, and it was.

I ended up getting much more out of it than I ever expected. I felt better about myself and actually decided to do a few things differently as a result.

I wish I'd had this book much earlier in my life!

Summary: Inspired by Forget Perfect!
Review: I was the epitome of the woman who strives for perfect! Lisa McLeod's book got me thinking about what might happen if the socks in the sock drawer weren't organized by color and if I didn't vacumn at least twice a week. Imagine . . . more time doing things that I really want to be doing!! It's not rocket science, but Lisa makes this topic really funny and entertaining. I think thousands of women will identify with what she has to say. It was almost as if she was talking directly to me. I'm recommending this book to my book club. I can only imagine what a great post-holiday discussion this will make. FLASH: Who cares if every package doesn't have a unique bow? I'd rather spend time having a few friends over to enjoy the tree. (And, we'll just close the door on the messy rooms!)
A big thanks to Lisa for getting me off the perfect thing and focused on what's really important. (And, by the way, my husband thanks you, too!!)

Summary: This book changed my life...
Review: I'm giving this book to all my friends - it's fantastic! Lisa McLeod is the voice of her generation -- a voice that says, "For God's Sake, I'm Exhausted, The Laundry Can Wait!" Forget Perfect is a wonderful, laugh-out-loud mirror for women - wives, mothers, daughters and friends everywhere who have put themselves last on their own to-do list. It's one of those rare books that makes you reevaluate what's really important, and helps you to realize that being perfect doesn't make people like you more, it makes them like you less. A wonderful book!

Summary: Lisa created a masterpiece!
Review: In today's society many of us are more worried of being perfect than being ourselves. Lisa did a great job showing us how to wake up and start living life on our terms. She teaches us to enjoy our stay on the this world and not letting everything bother us till we get it right.

Although this book was written by an woman and is more geared to women...I found the empowering message contained within this book to be very apropos for men as well.

Summary: I bought it for my girlfriend
Review: My girlfriend makes herself and me crazy by always having to be perfect and trying to do everything perfectly. I try hard to listen and understand but most of the time I just can't seem to get into her going on and on about things that I don't find very important. She gets mad, I get mad and we seem to waste alot of time and evergy on this stuff. We both love books and when I saw this one, I thought she might like it. When she told me that one of the things she got out of this book is that women are better off doing alot of their talking with each other and that what men really want more of is sex, I decided this book was one of the best presents I've ever chosen.

Summary: Funny & Helpful Book, Whether You're A Perfectionist or Not!
Review: This is a funny and timely book for our busy lives today. I was never a perfectionist, so I wasn't sure I would get anything out of it. But this book was so much more than a cure for perfectionism. (I think most of us gave up on that a long time ago anyway!) It was about bettering your life in many ways: being a better friend, enjoying your work and kids more, better understanding your spouse, and just getting more fun out of life. You see how perfectionism is overrated and how it keeps people from being really happy. This book showed some realistic ways to enjoy your life as you're living it instead of waiting for it to be perfect. I loved all the examples. Some of them were hysterial, and the quizzes made me laugh out loud.

Summary: Great for Young Professionals
Review: This is a must-read book. It's funny, meaningful, and reminded me of what's really important. One definite is to tear up my "should list" forever. I have a teenage daughter and I can't wait to give it to her. Young girls feel such a need to be perfect and I think this book will help them gain some perspective. After all, who likes "perfect" people anyway?
