Rating: Summary: Useful Tool for the Discipline of Fitness Review: As a device for accountability, users will find "The Get with the Program! Daily Journal" valuable. Twelve weeks might not seem long in calendar time; it is less than four months. However, when trying to apply fitness principles, accountability is the key. Any discipline benefits from tracking progress. While a simple notebook might suffice, and would save you a few bucks, this journal might help you realize you are serious. I fully recommend "The Get with the Program! Daily Journal" by Bob Greene. Take this effort seriously, and enjoy the lifestyle that follows when fitness is achieved. You will be glad you did. Rating: Summary: Great concept, great franchise Review: Bob, I love your programs and your energy. I think just about everything you do is awesome! This book however isn't much more than a lab journal. It has us write down food/exercise like we are a science experiement. It is a lot like a lined paper notebook. I got a lot more out of LifeChanger. Your exercise program, coupled with this self discovery tool enabled me to lose 185 pounds! I recommend every buys ALL of Bob Greene's other books, but pass on this one and get yourself LifeChanger instead! I found mine on eDiets.com's store.
Rating: Summary: Bob Greene is the BEST! Review: From Make the Connection to Get with the Program to Get with the Program's Guide to Healthy Eating to this Daily Journal, Bob Greene is down to earth, easy to understand, and is highly motivating and encouraging. I would recommend his books to anyone desiring to take better control of their health and fitness, and do it with a common sense approach. I see why Oprah likes him so much.
Rating: Summary: Great Journal w/ or w/ out the Program Review: I bought this when I was reading Get With the Program but it is actually a great journal.
The front and back cover w/ Bob Greene's face can be removed w/ out hurting the journal. You then have a nice spiral bound journal that says "Daily Journal" on the front in blue lettering on white with a white cardboard back that is hard enough to let you write well in the journal.
The book has a good two page daily lay out where you can record you cardio, weights and eating habits w/ or w/out the program. There is also enough space to write your daily thoughts and/or listing of foods if you are keeping a food diary.
It is a great size and just a nice item if you are tracking your health!
Rating: Summary: Great Place to Track your progress Review: I like the format of this journal. You can track exercise, food intake, alcohol, fat and sugar along with writing your thoughts and specific food if you so desire. The only thing that I do not like is his use of the term "Bad Carbohydrates." I hate the whole good food vs. bad food terminology and think that it promotes some unhealthy food issues.
Rating: Summary: Great concept, great franchise Review: If one is to spend money and time on reading the book, then they should use the daily journal to put "words into action." Set up into twelve week increments, this is enough time to record your progress and also see the results. With this notebook one can organize and record their fitness goals, exercise, and eating patterns. You can keep track of fat, sugar, carbo and alcohol intake. You can tell if your staying on track with your goals, progressing or slipping. Use it or lose it.

Rating: Summary: Buy the author's photo and an empty notebook for $14.95 Review: If you live in a rural community, away from major bookstores, and happen to mail order these deceitful publications, you will be disappointed as hell. Many of these paranoid fitness gurus prey on unwary consumers who seek help to better their life. In this empty notebook, Bob Greene does not shy from sticking his photo on the front cover in order to impress you with his beautiful green eyes, for the price of $14.95.
Rating: Summary: Very Practical and Helpful! Review: This journal is a perfect complement to Bob Greene's book. Very practical and well-balanced.
After eliminating my coffee habit with the help of a wonderful coffee substitute made from soya beans called "Soyffee", I'm feeling so much better. My doctor recommended it to help lower my cholesterol and promote strong bones. It's available online at www.S o y c o f f e e.com to find it.
I like how he focuses on both the emotional and physical, and recommends steady lifestyle changes you can live with.
