Rating: Summary: A personal book Review: Christy shows herself to be a person of great depth. To share something that has changed her life so positively comes across in her book as an act of love. There are more important things in life than the money and fame of being a supermodel. She has shown the world that she knows it.

Rating: Summary: Model offers sincere insight into yoga Review: Dont dismiss this book simply because of the author is a famous model. Christy interweaves her personal journey with her yoga practice. I especially appreciated reading about how she incorporated her practice with her faith. She offers a brief synopsis of the main yoga methods. AT times I felt like she cut and paste theology term papers into the text but I appeciate the clarity she gave me on the very confusing differences in yoga from reasoned voice.
Rating: Summary: A Good Introduction Review: I am a newcomer to the world of Yoga and this book was easy to follow and informative. It furthered my interest in Yoga and gave helpful suggestions on how to pursue this interest. Great for beginners!
Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: I felt so inspired by this book. I am a 30 year old woman that works in the fashion industry in an executive position. I totally related to her book and was personally inspired by her story. Christy did an excellent job in putting together a very well written and reserched book for those interested in learning more about Yoga. I read the book in three days. I look at Christy as a true role model. This book not only explores the spiritual aspects of yoga, it encourages you to think inwards and re-think your daily intentions. I highly recommend this book. The glossary in the back was also helpful. I do hope she puts out another book. It's comforting to read how yoga and her spiritual search affected her, and how it can translate and inspire others to do the same. Congratulations Christy - again!
Rating: Summary: Living Yoga: An Inspiring Book Review: I found Christy Turlington's book to be inspiring and thought provoking. She seamlessly weaves together the mental, physical, and spiritual benefits of yoga for the beginning to the advanced student. She also talks about how the practice of yoga enriches her everyday life. It was particularly interesting to read about how she encompasses her Catholic faith with her yoga practice. As a fellow Catholic, I found this aspect of the book to be thought provoking and fascinating. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is thinking about becoming a yoga student. It provided me with inspiration and gave me a better understanding of the benefits of yoga beyond the physical.
Rating: Summary: A Real Inspiration Review: I loved this book by Christy! The pictures are amazing -- and made me realize that I still have a long way to go. I thought the way that she covered all the different aspects of Hatha Yoga was very informative. I've been a student of Yoga for over 30 years and I still learned some things I never knew. This is one book I'll be buying for my own private collection.
Rating: Summary: Excellent book for someone curious about Yoga . Review: I loved this book! It has a lot of backround information on Yoga and takes the reader through the author's experiences, and life changing decision to continue to make Yoga a life practice. Very down to earth, not preachy! Got me off my butt, away from the stress and into the Yoga studio! Thank you Christy. Namaste :)
Rating: Summary: Theres More to Yoga then the poses! Review: I rated this book a four instead of a five for one major reason. The book's poses and postures arn't in a very clear order, and certainly not done by experience level. The book is WONDERFUL in discussing what lead her to yoga, medititation, and the history of yoga. Overall, I highly reccommend this book. As a poor college student, its cheaper then a gym membership and keeps SOME of the stress from school down :)
Rating: Summary: A good look into a personal journey as a yogi Review: I really enjoyed Kristy's book, Living Yoga. It delievered what it promised, an introductory look at the eight limbs of yoga (which is great since we westerners tend to only focus on the asana practice), as well as personal stories on her path of yoga. I disagree with one reviewer who stated that she was just a supermodel who does yoga. It is important as westerners to see how one can try and walk the yogic path while being somewhat engaged in a professional career in America. It gave me inspiration and a foundation for which I will continue to read and study more. If you only want a detailed description of the asana postures, look for another book.
