Summary: A Leap Into Personal Growth
Review: I have been seeking and studying in the Personal/Spiritual Growth field for over 20 years and have explored many varied avenues. This book is written at the Intermediate level. It takes times to absorb the material and open to our own "spiritual inner voice", with honesty and unconditional love. After reading the book I was fortunate to attend Brugh's workshop and learn in more depth about chakras, the I Ching, dreamwork, and other spiritual tools. A great read, an honest and insightful teacher.

Summary: A Book of A Great Master
Review: I read his book cos I had to go to the conferences, it was a good preparation. Probably I will get something more out of it now as I have been to his conferences and got used to his language. I didn't read the second book Avalanche until after his conference, I was very amazed much later there were a few events that were very similar in his book that I experienced myself. The book doesn't tell you about him now, at the end, it was written very long ago. If anyone who has met Brugh, you will know he is a great master and it is his job to teach. Brugh's conferences have great impacts on me and everyday, I thank god that I had the chance of meeting him. He has a lots of students that learn from him for 20 odd years, and believe me, they are great teachers themselves. When you meet him, you will know what he really wrote and why. Don't judge a book by its cover and don't judge a person by his book. His book might not be the best, but he is definitely one of the great teachers. Probably he see himself as a media and guide than a guru. He opens the door for others' spiritual path and this book is a good start.

Summary: Kundalini Crisis
Review: In her book, "Energies of Transformation", Bonnie Greenwell, Ph.D., describes the experiences described in "Joy's Way" as a Kundalini crisis. She also interviewed many of Joy's former students who were experiencing a Kundalini crisis. "Energies of Transformation" originated as Bonnie's Ph.D. thesis and I consider it scientific proof that Brugh Joy's conferences are highly effective at beginning a Kundalini crisis. Avoid Brugh Joy like the plague!

Summary: Excellent book
Review: This is the story of a very arrogant doctor who quits his medical practice because of what his "Inner Teacher" told him. This could be a sign of psychosis. Nowhere in the books is the distinction between psychosis and psychic ever made. Perhaps Joy does not want his readers and potential students to know the difference.
