Summary: Excellent.
Review: I am 6 weeks into using this dieter's diary and have found it to be a great tool in helping me lose weight. It really is true that you have to think twice about what you're going to eat when you have to write it down first. I've lost 15 pounds, and I could not have done it without the help of this little book. Its calorie guide in the back is indispensible, as is the weekly progress reports throughout the book. Nothing makes you feel better than charting your progress!! Thanks to Corinne T. Netzer!!

Summary: A good substitute for the "old" WW 12 week journal
Review: I started journaling my food when I started the Weight Watchers points program in 2003. In the fall, WW switched to a different style of journal, which never worked for me. This diary is a good replacement for me. I use the "snacks" section to record water, fruits, and veggies. I note protein grams in the left margin with just a number, and total them at the bottom of the day. I put exercise notes in the comments section. The quote space on odd numbered days is empty, so I make longer notes there. The calorie information in the back gives me a handy thumbnail for what my points might be.

I do really like the encouragement to do spot measurements each week. There have been weeks where my weight is stable but my measurements shrink. It's nice to have multiple sources of encouragement.

Summary: Excellent tool for tracking your diet!
Review: If you would like to lose weight or eat a healthier diet, experts often recommend you keep track of what you are eating. For a number of years I tried different methods. I used scraps of paper, a large notebook, a calender book, and even a complicated food journal. Eventually I stopped journaling - too much work. Then one day I found this little spiral bound book - Corinne Netzer's Dieter's Diary. It really simplifies the tracking process! It contains an easy to use format to track your intake for 16 weeks. Each week is divided into 7 individual days and you can easily jot down what you ate throughout the day. It includes a spot to write in calories OR you can easily write in points instead if you are on the Weight Watchers program or grams of protein if you are Zoning. The back of the book has calorie counts for common foods. But even if this information is not helpful to you, the organization of the rest of the book can be a super tool to help you achieve your goals! After one week I could easily see problem areas and correct them. And the information can be reviewed over a longer time period as the booklet is for a 16 week period. At the bottom of each page is a small space to write in comments. At the end of each week is an area to write in a weekly progress report and goals for the next week. I think this is an excellent tool, simple yet very effective!

Summary: A good substitute for the "old" WW 12 week journal
Review: This handy little journal goes everywhere with me. It's like having a dieting buddy 24 hours a day. As the other reviewers have stated, the book has 16 weeks of 1 page journals with a page at the end of each week for review and goal setting. I love this book as it is, but if I were to make any changes, it would be to perhaps go with an 8 week book and have more room for comments about the weight-loss journey. I do this in a larger journal, but it would be nice to keep it all in one place. I bought two of these because I'm afraid it's going to take me a little longer than 16 weeks to get where I'm going.

Summary: an awsome find
Review: This is a spiral-bound 4" x 8" diet tracker, with a page for 16+ weeks worth of days, plus a weekly summary page for each week. Each day's page includes space for writing in what you had for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, plus total daily calories and comments. Some pages also include dieting tips. At the end of the book is a very good list of the calories in most common foods. I've found this book to be indispensable for keeping track of my diet.
