Summary: Thank you Ouidad!!!
Review: This book was so helpful. I have been struggling with my curly hair for 35 years and have always tried to straighten it, mainly because I was embarrassed by it. I finally learned how to work with my hair, and love my curls. After reading the book I ordered the products on her website and got started right away. My hair has never looked better.

Thank you Ouidad!!!

Summary: Great Curl Guide
Review: This curly convert thought Ouidad's book was very informative. I have had frizzy wavy hair forever and got tired of having it straightened. Ouidad taught me a sensible system for bringing out and caring for my natural curl. My hair never looked better now that I have the tools to control it. Ouidad gets right to the point and covers all the basics, from washing to conditioning to styling. It is also a fun and easy read, with many anecdotes along the way.

I appreciate that Ouidad created her own products, as I don't have the time to search through the many products on the market. Her products are excellent, and the fact that I can purchase them from her streamlines the process.

Another great book is Curly Girl by Lorraine Massey. I find switching back and forth between the two books' techniques gives me many choices on how to make my hair look great every day.

Summary: A paperback infomercial
Review: What a waste of time. If I wanted to buy overpriced products, I'd hit the mall. If I wanted to read some really silly testimonials, I'd buy a copy of The National Enquirer. Ouidad provided minimal information sandwiched between shameless self-promotion.

Curly Girl, by Lorraine Massey, is a better choice.
