Rating: Summary: Fun for the actress in us! Review: I got this book a few days ago and was disappointed at first glance -- the acupressure information was cursory and the
Chinese physiognomy aspect, which I would love to know more about, was pretty minimal. I settled down to the actual exercises today, however -- the pairing of emotion/phrase and photo makes it easier to "get" the subtle movements required than any meticulous step-by-step description of which muscle to move when. This is "method face-lifting," you might say -- think yourself into the attitude and you're doing the exercise. It's intuitive and it's fun -- certainly worth a try. Make a video and I'll buy that, too!
Rating: Summary: Patty Review: I purchased this book and held onto it for at least a year, always telling myself I'd start it "tomorrow." One day I was looking in the mirror and said, "That's it! I'm going to start today!" I did, and now my only regret is not beginning the program sooner! One thing that I was not expecting is to have changes occur in my personality due to these wonderful and simple facial exercises. I stopped procrastinating, my life became more filled with promise, and I have felt so much more alive. Not to mention it has done some very interesting and positive things to my sexual desires :) And for those of you that work out your body...you know how you feel after a workout...full of energy and high on life? That's how you feel after doing facial exercises, only BETTER because the face is so interconnected to your personality. wow! what a treat! I HIGHLY recommend this book. Thanks Ellae for sharing your incredibly ingenius exercises with the rest of us!!

Rating: Summary: Partial critique of "Horrible" review Review: The person who wrote the above-mentioned review stated that "any dermatologist" would tell you that pulling/stretching your skin would damage it. This is a classic construction used by people who don't have any real evidence to back up their statements. Now, I could throw my credentials up into your face, but credentials are not an argument, so let's use some common sense: EVERY exercise you do - in fact every single movement you make - pulls and stretches your skin in a gentle fashion (such as even the reviewer admits the book is speaking of); anyone who's ever moved knows this. (In the interests of giving the benfit of the doubt, I note that the reviewer apparently lives on the couch; perhaps this explains the review.) This contributes to the health of your skin by increasing circulation to it as well moving toxins out through it (as it is designed to do) and stimulating its cells to grow. Further, if we were to follow the reviewer's reasoning, it would mean that all externally-applied massage is harmful to the skin; does this correlate with your experience? I would imagine not. Enough said.

Rating: Summary: A Timeless Face Is No Accident Review: This is a precious book because its topic is precious. People know us by our face, and Elinwood shows that keeping the face healthy and vibrant improves not only the impression we make on others, but how we think and the way we feel. By combining methods from Chinese Medicine, energy healing, and facial toning, Timeless Face pvoides a delightfully SIMPLE and accessible program for maintaining inner and outer beauty.

Rating: Summary: Excellent, helpful book - everyone can use it! Review: This is SUCH an easy book to understand, and Ellae Elinwood is as beautiful as you could hope for in an author who writes on this topic. I'm just beginning to show signs of age, and already I am feeling dramatic improvements as a result of using these invaluable principles. Any woman or man who is interested in toning their body, looking better or even looking younger simply MUST buy this book and USE it! Great work, Ellae!

Rating: Summary: This Program Is Helping Me Review: What first struck me about this book were the pictures which, at first, were quite funny. As I read on and started understanding the underlying reasons behind the "funny faces" it became obvious that what Ms. Elinwood is presenting is a fun way to radically change both your perceptions of yourself and how you are perceived by others. It helps that this presentation is so easy to read, understand and implement. I would encourage anyone who is contemplating a face lift or who just wants to look and feel better to try this out. It works for men as well as women and...it's fun.
