Summary: Fantastic Bodyweight Excercise Book
Review: Forget the books that advertise that they have the all encompassing answer detailed down to 2 or 3 exercises....
Or the ones that advertise unbelievable results in 2 minutes a day.

I received my Miracle 7 recently, and I'm floored. Pushing Yourself To Powere was an awesome collaboration or information (both John and Wendie's versions), but
Miracle 7 takes it to the next level.

This is not a 'beginner's book' at all. This is a much defined work that goes into much detail. Not only does it 'explode' the McSweeney seven with wonderful detail (intrinsic information about particular body positioning is great) but simplifies a diet regimen that is easy to follow, too.

The various workouts that the authors, John Peterson and Wendie Pett, have set forth are great and more expansive than even PYTP and as far as the 'nay-sayers' who were a little put off that PYTP didn't provide routines....everyone at BronzeBow must have been listening.

Where I see a great value to this book is its size and the amount of information per square inch of paper.

I travel a lot for work. This book, if positioned correctly, can become THE book to provide guidance to an awesome workout for men and women a like that have to spend their time in a hotel. The size is a definite, briefcase advantage, too.

A wonderfully laid out and well thought out instructional that breaks down individual body parts and gives the user/reader various ideas about how to work these areas.

Another fine and useful product from BronzeBow.

The worst thing that someone can do with this book....is to not open it up.

Summary: Another Workout From JP That Works
Review: I just got my copy of this book yesterday, read it last night and I am going to start this program today. I have total faith in this program, because I have been following the exercises in the other book by John Peterson "Pushing Yourself To Power". In fact I wrote an early review of that book on Amazon as a reader from Evanston. I have no association with the author or publisher (Bronze Bow), other than reading and following his previous book and website forum. So I have nothing to gain by writing this review. I am writing it because I just want others to learn what a GOOD thing this book contains. Since following the advice in John Peterson's first book for about the last 5 months, I have lost 35 lbs. and gained a lot of muscle. ( I probably could have lost more weight if I been able to competely avoid my nemesises, pizza and chocolate.) I now like seeing myself in the mirror when I am getting dressed in the morning. My shoulders and upper body are getting nicely defined, and I can't wait to see what I will look like by next summer. In fact, my lady friend just the other day commented on how my arm is all muscle. So this program has other benefits than just good health (for those of you reading this who are a little slow, let me spell it out for you_it helps attract the babes). I still have quite a way to go to achieve my perfect body, but with the tools of the Miracle 7 and Pushing Yourself To Power I know I will achieve it. The most amazing thing to me is the fact that I am 53 almost 54 and my body is in better shape than when I was 30. John Peterson himself is in his 50s and looks fantastic. Imagine what you can do if you start this program while you are still in your 20s or 30s. I personally have tried many other ways of working out, (e.g. the health club route), but with Mr. Peterson's methods I don't have to pay expensive fees, get in my car and travel to the health club. I also have a heck of a lot less nagging aches, pains and injuries, than I had when I was lifting weights. This program is not magic, however, you have to be persistant and consistant, and do it on an almost daily basis to achieve results. (I am averaging about 5-6 days a week doing the workouts. When I started I could hardly do any of the Furey push-ups (about ten), but just the other night I did a set of 46.) However, there is a variety of exercises so you can mix it up and not get bored. I reccommend getting both of John Peterson's books to get the total picture. Obviously, I am a man so I can't comment on the portions of the book contributed by Wendie Pett other than to say it looks like the program works good for women as well, judging by how great Wendie looks. Anyway to sum it up if you are looking for a fitness program that gives great results, costs very little, you can do at home with no equipment (except for maybe a chinning bar), and you can do pretty much for the rest of your life, Check this out.

Summary: Give a try. You'll be VERY pleasantly surprised.
Review: I was a little hesitant about trying these types of exercises, when I first saw Pushing Yourself to Power, by the same author.

But, when Miracle 7 was advertised, I thought what could it hurt to give it a try.

BOY am I glad I did. I really get the feeling of a good work out, even after just one set of 10 repetitions of the Tiger Moves.

The entire book is full of useful, well organized information. Not only are there several different exercises, including long time favorites. But, there's also a dummy-proof nutritional guide.
This book would be useful to anyone, whether they are new to exercise, or a seasoned fitness buff.
The authors, John and Wendy, have taken time-tested exercises, and put them all in one handy book, while also giving credit to those who "invented" the exercises.

If you want to get into shape while doing an effective workout, but don't want to bust yourself up at the gym, buy this book. You WON'T regret it.

Give it a try. You'll be VERY pleasantly surprised.

Summary: A true gem of Physical Culture
Review: It is quite easy to be cynical when it comes to yet another book on fitness/bodybuilding/training. There are so many so-called "experts" out there, whom do you believe?
This, though, is a true beauty. John Peterson and Wendie Pett at Bronze Bow Publishing have written yet another brilliant book on what I would call true Physical Culture. Expanding upon what they began with in Pushing Yourself to Power, these two books have managed to ressurect good old-fashioned techniques. Call it bodybuilding, body sculpting, call it whatever you want. These techniques work and in a major way.
They work, because they have been around for so long. Naturally, there will be those that snicker. How can one possibly build a great physique, NATURALLY, that is as strong as it looks, and more important, one that is aesthetically pleasing without using weights or the latest high-tech gizmo in a gym?? Easy. They have been doing it for likely a few hundred years. Peterson gives full credit to the likes of Charles Atlas, Earle Liederman and such who gave these methods to the world. What Mr. Peterson and Ms. Pett have done is their absolute best to bring these technques back into the mainstream.
I lifted weights at one time, but no more. For more than 3 years now, I have stuck to good old-fashioned bodyweight exercises (which can be made as hard to perform as you want them to with some variations)and not only maintained what I built with weights, but enhanced as well. And this was before the methods presented here, Dynamic Visualized Resistance (DVR's) and Dynamic Self Resistance (DSR's) became part of my training. These methods are far from easy and will give you an incredible workout.
This book is superb because it lays the foundation with The Miracle Seven (in of itself a fantastic routine), and then expands upon that with specialized routines for lagging bodyparts. All natural, and all to be performed for the most part with the closest gym in town, the one open 24/7, your own body! The chapter on nutrition is common sense, does not preach, and just tells you what we all really know is the truth about how to eat for best results. 5 "lists" of foods, from best to worst, and it is up to you how to design an eating program from it. Nothing faddish or extreme. Just the truth!
These methods work and work superbly. This book will guide you in that direction. My only regret is all the time I spent in gyms. I can say that I would have achieved it all just using these techniques. I too was a doubter, but no more. All I know is that certain items in my wardrobe fit tighter (particularly in the chest and shoulder areas), and that I am looking better all the time. If you want a pleasing, eye-turning physique look no more. It's all here in this information dense gem.

Summary: Use Your Mind To Develop Your Body
Review: This book contains exercises that are thousands of years old and yet are the most efficient and effective way to exercise in the twenty first century.

They have their origin in the ancient Yoga and Kungfu tensing exercises.

They require no special equipment or clothing and give you the ability to exercise anywhere and anytime.

The resistance is provided by your own mind using your imagination and visual imagery.

The course consists of stretching and tensing exercises that are fun to do and because of the intense concentration you are developng your mind at the same time that you are developing your body.

Give them a try-I bet you'll get hooked even if you don't like to exercise.

Summary: Great!!!
Review: This book is great...explanations on exercises are clear and easy, variety of exercises covers all parts of the body, and the foundation is the seven tiger moves that are based on mind and body working together to get results.

No need for equipment or gyms, just your own effort in your body.

I practice Yoga regularly and the way both routines work together is excelent! I recommend this book to any person that wants to improve his health and fit without risking their body on weight lifting or machines.

Congratulations to the authors for a work well done!
