Summary: I can now sleep thanks to this book! RECOMMEND
Review: After months of chronic congestion from infections that were horrible, I found this book at a local bookstore in Boston. I read the book in one morning (very easy to read)--and then starting using some of the natural suggestions to end sinusitis. I could not believe the difference in how I felt one week later. My congestion was minimal and I did not have a headache. I started sleeping better at night, which helped my overall mood--and it probably boosted my immune function, too. Anyway--if you suffer with sinusitis--DON'T. There is hope and help. Read this book. Follow the doctors' advice. You will feel better!!!

Summary: CREDIBLE book that does NOT recommend antibiotics. Finally!!
Review: After reading JAMA'S latest study on a woman's risk of breast cancer is increased if she has taken antibiotics--I was freaked out. I mean, I've taken DOZENS of antibiotics for sinus infections over the past decade. I read this book last night at the recommendation of a friend. The doctors say that antibiotics are NOT recommended for most causes of sinusitis. MIRACLE!! Anyway--I'm going to start the saline rinses and natural therapies and see how they work. The book is VERY EASY to read and quite interesting. There is hope!!!

Summary: Thorough and up-to-date with natural and medical therapies
Review: An excellent resource that explains what works--and what doesn't--to manage chronic sinusitis. The book is written with compassion and clarity and reveals how to gain control over headache, nasal congestion, ear and throat pain, and other symptoms of sinus disease. The surprising new findings on which foods trigger sinusitis and which ones help manage it were especially interesting to me.I highly recommend to all sufferers--well worth the money!

Summary: Thorough and up-to-date with natural and medical therapies
Review: Finally--a well-researched guide on sinusitis and other upper respiratory problems that does not recommend living on antibiotic therapy. The natural therapies, along with safe and effective medications, are excellent selections for resolving chronic sinusitis and keep symptoms at bay. I highly recommend this handbook to any sinus or allergy sufferers who are tired of taking antibiotics that simply don't work for this problem.

Summary: WORTH THE MONEY
Review: I've always been hesitant of trying "natural therapies" to resolve my chronic sinus disease--but these authors are very convincing--and they are right. I've been using the nasal saline wash twice daily with a neti pot, drinking hot green tea several times daily, and using hydrotherapy (hot moist towels over my sinuses). I am better! A superb book that ended my sinus headaches and congestion. Hope it works for others too.

Review: Most of the 5 star reviews are from "customer" reviewers that have only reviewed her other books and given them 5 stars as well.
I did not read this book and will not based on this alone. Pathetic.

Summary: I smell a rat!
Review: Nothing you can't find on the internet for free.

I have noticed that most of the five star reviews below of this book come from people who have _only_ reviewed other books by Debra Fulghum Bruce. And oddly enough, each of them have been given five stars too.

Shameful.

Summary: Glad I bought this used....
Review: Of all the books I've read, this is the best book on using natural therapies to manage sinusitis. It's a terrific book!! The program recommended is easy to use and it definitely works. This book motivated me to finally get in control of the constant congestion and drainage from years of sinusitis. I realized that conventional medication and antibiotics could not always relieve the symptoms of sinusitis. But the vitamins, herbs, and foods recommended in this book help to decrease inflammation. The other complementary therapies help the sinuses to drain, and the saline rinse keeps the sinuses flowing so they don't get all clogged and infected.

Summary: Scientific but with natural therapies for ending sinusitis
Review: The authors have written an outstanding health resource that explains sinusitis and related problems and then gives viable solutions--medical and natural--to manage this disease. This is an easy read but highly informative and useful to the lay person, particularly with insight on natural dietary supplements and food therapies, along with scientific backing. The book provides readers with opportunities to self-manage chronic sinusitis, as well as sinus headache, ear pain, and congestion. I highly recommend.

Review: This book had a few good tips - but after dealing with sinus problems for 9 months I had already tried much of what the book suggested. I felt most of the text was dedicated to selling Dr. Grossan's products. I would reccomend checking this out from the library to see its the book's suggestions help but I wouldn't waste any money on it.

With a little digging on reliable web sites you will find just as good, if not better information.
