Summary: An excellent teaching tool; specific and precise
Review: I am a student who just used this textbook in an Intro. to Psych. class and found the volume to be absolutely wonderful. Wayne takes the time to explain everything necessary for complete comprehension of the subject matter and uses very pertinent examples often from student life (e.g. pizza-oriented decision making processes). In addition to the actual text, the full-color picutes/illustrations add tremendously; some are rather silly, but most are bright and consistent with the writings. All in all, Wayne has done a terrific job; this is an excellent textbook for those teaching an Intro. class or those simply wishing to enhance personal knowledge about a wide variety of psychological topics.

Summary: Mediocre
Review: I guess that you get what you pay for. The book was in adequate condition and was functional, however, it was deceptive in its advertising. Since when is a bent binding, ripped pages, and extreme highlighting considered "LIKE NEW!"? Overall, my expectations were not high so they were satisfied to some extent with a purchase from this seller.

Summary: Excellent source of information
Review: I used this book for a course called general psychology. This book is full of knowledge and explains each term in everyday language so the reader can grasp the concept. I felt that the book explained everything so well that I would easily got a A in the class without ever having to have the teacher explain anything to me.

Summary: a palatable intro text
Review: it's the best Text book i've ever had and Psychology is thus my favorite subject of all time in University (and all other levels) although my major is accounting. Now i read a lot of popular psychology and self help stuff, this book has laid a necessary foundation for me to understand the jargon. Another reason for my liking is that it was extremely cheap when i bought the hardcover version back in Hong Kong University 1995 : only US$ 23.3 !! sorry guys this price is only for overseas, and not saleable in US/Canada, guess you gotta buy it thru amazon.com

Review: This study guide was wonderful, it helped me to get an A in my general psychology class. If you read the material and then follow it up with answering the questions in the guide you too may do well in this class. This study guide is a must!!!
