Summary: Fantastic book on a very interesting subject.
Review: This is the most thoroughly engaging, thought provoking, and useful textbook I have ever had to read. Although it was assigned reading, I always looked forward to it and often read beyond what was required. The stories at the beginning of every chapter, the famous quotes that relate to the issues discussed, and the numerous examples of experiments cited in the text make this an excellent book. I plan to read some of the recommended titles for further reading that the book suggests.
