Summary: An excellent work
Review: I have never read any of Sylvia's books, but after reading this I am surely going to read all her available works. The interpretations of the dreams are not at all what convinced me, she is excellent in the way of teaching how to use the interpretations to benefit you. It is very surprising and informing, Sylvia worked very hard. I'd like to recommend a good similar book, SB: 1 or God by Karl Maddox

Summary: Very Enlightening!!!!!!!!
Review: I have to admit, I was afraid to start reading Sylvia's books in the beginning. Being raised Southern Baptist, I was taught from childhood that anything of this nature was strictly forbidden. Since I finally (thank God!) decided to open my mind and my heart, I have found a wealth of comfort, peace, and even confirmation. So many references in her books spark me to realize that I've known and believed this my whole life, but was afraid to question it, and ignorant as to how to put it into words. What a beautiful knowledge that there really is a Mother God and she loves us eternally and unconditionally! Astral catelepsy is something that I've experienced since early childhood, but never knew what it was. My brother is the only other person I know that has experienced it as well. I was so happy to read in this book that it's not death knocking at the door! Now that I know what it is, I have no more reason to be afraid of it. This book, along with every other book I've read of hers is definitely one that I would recommend to anyone! A must read!!!!

Summary: good
Review: I think that this book was very informative. Its also a interesting. I dont think that it was Sylvia's best book or anything. But it was good and useful. The only complaint is that I could only read a little at a time. It wasn't exactly a cant put it down book. It was more useful than anything though.

Summary: This is the best Sylvia Browne book yet!
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this book and it helped me alot. Sylvia addresses the impact of 9/11/01 on the world in general and specifically in our dreams. She covers several typical dreams and teaches the reader how to change the endings of bad dreams and how to appreciate the good ones. Ignore the Sylvia basher's... they are either uneducated or just plain jealous. Sylvia helps people through her books, lectures and readings. She offers comfort and knowledge during some rather turbulent times and she should be commended for her efforts. If you are interested in learing about dreams then you won't be disappointed by this book.

Summary: Enjoyable and Intriguing
Review: I was a bit skeptical at first but I found this to be interesting. While I don't find myself "travelling to the Other Side" often when I dream, I found her explanations plausible. And I definitely agree with her assessment that dream dictionaries are fine, but a symbol in a dream may mean something entirely different to each individual. I liked her "dividing" dreams into five types, including prophetic dreams, an informational or problem-solving dream, and astral visits.

Sylvia goes into detail to describe each of these "dream types," and points out in our society people don't give enough credit to dreams. She does spend a chapter describing dream symbols, and it's as good a "dream dictionary" as any I've seen.

She also describes ways to make a dream (especially a bad one) end differently by "telling yourself" it's only a dream and to "choose" a different ending to a recurring bad dream.

I felt Sylvia did a very good job in describing dreams and what they mean or may not mean. Several dream books I've skimmed through seem to follow a "template" of sorts in trying to explain what your dreams mean. And Sylvia went out of her way to do the opposite in explaining dreams.

I'm glad I took the time to read this book.

Summary: sylvia brownes book of dreams
Review: i've been studying dreams for along time and i found this book to be the best tool for knowing why we dream what we dream; it's not a dictionary of dreams like most dream books, but a comprehensive look at dream types and the occasions in which we have certain dreams, i've recommended it to all my friends and even my students.

Summary: Save your money for your real "dreams"
Review: Ms. Browne seems to be well meaning when describing her experiences and her dreams and those of others. However, the books spends more time discussing Ms. Browne's views about herself rather than focusing on the more interesting information about dreams themselves.

It is obvious from reading the book that Ms. Browne is a lay person and a "spiritual guide", not a scientist of any kind. I would venture to guess that most of the information she provides is based on her own opinions and conjecture rather than hard, sounds facts.

I was very disappointed with this book, and only "dream" of getting my money back . . .

Summary: How to make dream intrepretation easy.
Review: Okay, I have to admit up front, I'm a Sylvia Browne freak. I loved all her books and how much she helps people when they are having difficulties in life.

(The reviewer that gave her "predictions" in a general broad manner to critique Sylvia, was even funny because she showed how general preditions are not much help at all and not even worth reading hers or anyone else's was great in justaposition to true psychics such as Sylvia and James Van Praagh. I just hope she doesn't quit her day job to become a "psychic"-hahaha)

But back to her book, Sylvia is far more skilled, and even though she does not have advanced degrees in psychology or psychiatry (which may even be an asset), she does a truly fantastic job in categorizing the types of dreams you may have (both recurring and nonrecurring)into 5 basic types, and then does a truly wonderful job of discussing how you can best further analyze a troubling or mystifying dream you have had to your benefit. (Freud, on the other hand, and others who have all the PhD's seem to complicate the matter of dream interpretation far beyond the average person's ken.)

In any case, Sylvia does give specific techniques for analyzing and understanding dreams, and even getting rid of nightmares and upsetting dreams that aren't there to help us.

She also gives numerous life examples of how properly analyzing the dream can help us in our daily lives or help us dispel fears and misunderstandings when we just take some time to properly put an annoying dream in perspective.

If you are interested in what dreams mean in a simplfied form, and how you can learn some simple techiques to learn from the information which is being relayed to you in your dreams, this book indeed is a well written, easy to understand and helpful guide. It is very practical and not at all scientific, and it is based on intuition and belief, written by someone who is extraordinarily intuitive and sensitive.

This book is just one more lesson in how we can use our angels and spirit guides to open up our hearts to loving messages we can receive from the other side which will help us immensely in our daily lives.
