Rating: Summary: Healthy Living Simplified Review: I have two other of Pamela Smith's books: "Eat Well Live Well" and "Food for Life" both of which are helpful for learning the whys of eating correctly but; "Pamela Smith's The Good Life: A Healthy Cookbook" is by far the best book for putting all of those good intentions into practise. Although the other books both have some recipes it was still up to the individual to take the time to make sure all the protein and carbs where balanced while figuring out your calories, fat, ect. This book does that for you -- all you have to do is pick the meal you like and it is already balanced; you just pick your portion size. All the recipes for that meal are togethor making menu planning and grocery shopping a brease. Each section (sections are by meal) have a very large variety to choose from making it feel less like a "diet" and more like a lifestyle -- with this book I do not have to worry about cooking diet meals for myself and regular food for my family as the recipies are for real food that everybody can and will eat. I highly recommend this book -- especially for those who have read Pamela's books but never gave it a try; because they got over whelmed trying to figure out what to do in the store, in the kitchen, or at the table.
