Summary: My favorite vegetarian cookbook...
Review: "The Peaceful Palate" by Jennifer Raymond is full of delicious easy-to-make recipes that don't require any strange or hard-to-find ingredients. Between me and my mother-in-law, we have made a dozen of the recipes and each one turned out well. As an alternative to an overly sweet birthday cake, I have made the "Applesauce Cake" several times with the "White Delite Frosting" or just a sprinkling of cinnamon and powdered sugar. I like to give this book as a gift to friends and family, so that they can see how easy and tasty vegetarian cooking can be.

Summary: my favorite cookbook
Review: I have been a vegetarian for 24 years, and a vegan now for just over one year. Last year I ordered a number of vegan cookbooks, but this is the one I return to again and again. It is a very simple cookbook - it truly does feel peaceful - no fretting over unusual ingredients or fussy preparations. It is just simple, delicious food. If you are a new vegan this is a great book to start with, and, as I've found, a great one to stick with.

Summary: My favorite vegetarian cookbook...
Review: I just bought The Peaceful Palate about a week ago, and I've already used it several times. I love buying veggie cookbooks and collecting recipes, but this one stands out. I can make most of the recipes in it just using the ingredients I already have in my kitchen -- I do have a well-stocked pantry, but that's still unusual. I would recommend this book for beginners, busy people and those who sometimes just forget how easy it can be to throw together a healthy meal (like me!).

Summary: Quick, easy, and delicious!
Review: Raymond easily could have titled this cookbook "Quick, easy, and delicious"! The split pea soup is one of my favorite cold-weather recipes, and just about everything I've tried in this book has been great. Highly recommend.

Easy to read recipes with simple, common ingredients.

It's my #1 cookbook.

Summary: One of the best
Review: This is a fabulous cook book. There is nothing overly exotic so it was very easy to find all of the ingredients. I served the Tempeh salad sandwich to my meat eating family and none of them knew the difference, infact they said it was the best sandwich they've ever had! The carrot cake with tofu cream frosting was incredible and was finished all in one evening. My mom loved the coffee cake and insisted I not forget to give her the recipe. I can't wait to try all of the recipes. Thank you Jennifer Raymond!

Summary: Fantastic!
Review: This is the best cookbook I own! I have dozens and dozens of veggie cookbooks but I use this one over 90% of the time. Her recipes are easy to follow and yield wonderful results. I particularly recommend the Green Velvet Soup and Truly Terrific Tacos. Both are family favorites at my house. In fact, I always make a double batch and freeze some for later.

No mater if you are an experienced vegetarian chef or you've never eaten a meal without meat, this book is for you.

Summary: The Best & Simplest!!
Review: This is the most used & abused cookbook in my kitchen. The receipies are so easy & yummy but best of all...peaceful!

This is a really interesting book about how eating affects our health. There is a lot of useful information in here to provide much thought about what to eat. There are also interesting references for wellness products.

The author does suggest you go off coffee slowly before you start the plan. This would minimize headaches during detox. I couldn't wait to get started so, of course, did it all at once and had the most horrible awful headache for 4 straight days.

I finally broke down and had a 1/2 cup coffee one day instead of taking aspirin and that did the trick...for the moment. Now I'm completely caffeine-free and don't miss it at all. My doctor prescribed a wonderful replacement for coffee made from soya beans called "soyffee". I bought it online at www. S o y c o f f e e.com and cannot believe how good is the taste.
