Rating: Summary: useless for us pagans (or Jews or athiests or agnostics) Review: I'm looking everywhere for books that can help explain the senseless sudden death of my childrens' grandmother. Unfortunately, this isn't it. Since we're not Christians and the book relies entirely on biblical quotations to explain death and then tries to offer comfort by describing an afterlife in which we have no faith, this book is of little or no use to us. Too bad. The title is perfect. The contents, however, were not even a tiny bit helpful. Back to Freddy the Falling Leaf.

Rating: Summary: Exellent book to explain about the loss of a loved one. Review: This book was a great help to explain to my children the unexpected death of their grandfather. The book focuses on the Christian concepts of death and what to expect. My husband and I read the book first and then explained the loss to our 5 year old twin sons. It was amazing how well they handled it. I am donating a copy of this book to my children's kindergarten class in order to help other parents who may need to discuss this difficult topic with their children.
Rating: Summary: This book really helps children to understand about death. Review: This is a wonderful book to help children understand about death. The concepts are based on Chritianity and the Bible. Someone lent me this book when my son's great-grandmother died, and not only did it really help my son to understand what had happened, but the whole extended family read it too. I highly reccomend this book for children dealing with death.
