Summary: Fabulous!
Review: My husband and I have been married over 30 years and always felt we had a great marriage...communicated well, shared, were respectful of each other, faithful and loyal, so on and so on. This book has helped make that great marriage...FABULOUS!

I've ordered several copies and have given them to some of my closest friends. Everyone who communicates with someone else...whether spouse, boss, employee, child, friend, parent...regardless of who, this book is for you.

Summary: Speak and Be Heard
Review: This book teaches how to turn a mere analogy into a heartfelt story - a story personalized for the listener. It contains many examples of how to tell others what you most want them to hear and understand. Most reader's will benefit from reading and putting into practice some of these "word pictures." I do think the book needs a companion text, something along the lines of "Listening with Love." In my professional experience working with couples, most people have much more difficulty LISTENING carefully. The book briefly touches on spiritual concepts that may be less relevant to the non-religious reader. Finally, I was a little uncomfortable with the examples of word pictures used with children to teach lessons. In one of the author's examples, he took his son golfing (a favorite activity) to deliver a "word picture" explaining his (the author's) concerns about his son's eating habits. I believe, that no matter how well intended or spoken, there is a risk that some children may experience the fun outing as a set-up. Pairing a fun activity with a corrective message might make your child a little nervous the next time you suggest a fun little trip. So I would urge caution. It's okay to set the stage for your listener, just don't set them up.

Summary: Enrich your marriage life after some years
Review: To me it was an eye opener. Communication skills are so important and skills must be learned and practised. This book practically showed and helped me to communicate with the ones I love and the success was seen after the first go. My marriage life started to brighten up again after 10 years and my relationship with the kids are on the road again. This book is a must for married men!
