Summary: Maintaining relationships by praying together
Review: Consider for a moment how well other areas of your home function during those times when you and your spouse are struggling with your relationship. I know only too well from experience that our personal relationships with God, our children, and even others, consequently suffer when our marriage is not what God intends it to be.

From a mom's perspective, I know how conflict within the marriage drains energy, hinders concentration and impedes motivation. When we have not confessed and repented of sins in our relationship, we are not able to pray as we ought and our family is not protected with the prayer covering that is so needed. My husband and I have found that when we regularly maintain relationships, we experience far less conflict.

We received this lovely little book as an anniversary gift from a dear older woman God has placed in my life. My husband began reading this to me at night before we dropped off to sleep. The chapters are short and manageable for two very tired bodies. They serve as a springboard for constructive conversation with each other and God, helping us focus on what God says is important and agree with God in prayer. This book simplifies the process by using key passages applicable within the context of the marriage relationship. However, the same concept may be achieved by reading God's Word together as a couple and conversing God's truth with each other and God.

John 5:14-15 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us--whatever we ask--we know that we have what we asked of him. Matthew18:19-20 "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."
