Summary: Its Intresting
Review: The way I see it is most of the people that posted negativeity for this book just can't handal the fact that some people have a diffrent belief system and want to think for themselves. Like me, I am a Catholic and I dont believe in the Jesus is 1 in all god trinity to be true, so in the end of course Im not a true Catholic in your eyes simply because of a belief. Iv not finished reading this book but so far its been very hard to put down. I was babtised Catholic, but I dont practise it for the simple fact that their is alot I Disagree with, especially the Hypocricy. Iv been studying diffrent religions and found CS quite facinating. There are so many uncalled for deaths going on in the world, ones that dont need to happen and if you look closey at what I just said youll know what I mean. If everyone is so against death that posts negative remarks about this book I advise you to write to the real killer in this world and demand him to stop his torturing by killing millions of innocent people. Mary Baker Eddy is a woman that one should admire for her courage and strength for her faith in god. What better way of life then actually living what Jesus did. Read the book people, Its worth it

Review: This book can change your life. It did mine. The opening words from the preface - "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, today is big with blessings. The time for thinkers has come." say it all. If you are not afraid to think, this book is for you. Christian Science claims to be the ultimate statement of the Science of Being or God itself. It claims to explain all reality and causation. Unlike most religions, it declares that God can be known and understood and that the problem of evil can be explained. It claims to find nothing mysterious about the Creator or his creation. This book contains the complete statement of Christian Science theology. A reading of this book and application of the principles it expounds has resulted in the healing of physical disease and other conditions considered incurable. Review: This book is not a light read but a whole course meal-a reference book for life. It's non-denominational and can appeal to anyone, no matter what background or religious belief. It explains a practical spiritual approach to healing. The term Christian Science is coined to mean the universal laws of God or Truth that can be applied to any situation needing help. You can read it front to back, by chapter, or one line here or there. The index in the back is very helpful if you are working on a particular issue, ie. drinking, drugs, etc. The last 100 pages are written by people who have been healed simply by reading the book. I, myself, have been healed of all kinds of problems using the ideas here.

Review: This is much more than a book, it is the Truth. "Ye shall know the Truth and the Truth shall set you Free". There is nothing damaging about this book, the message is Love, Love & More Love.
To anyone fortunate enough to read this book it will change your life, with immediate effect, for the better.

Summary: Jesus is a way not Mary Baker Eddy
Review: This is very dangerous book indeed. It's much better to read some kind of atheist propaganda against God than this book. Deceiving harmful for all Christians. I suppose people who knows their bible don't give much credit to this lowly kind of literature, but for young inexperienced Christians this book could be fatal. This book rather brings you closer to father of lies than to real truth which is in Jesus Christ alone.

Review: To get a better understanding of Christian Science, I found it helpful to read page 468 to page 471.
Mrs. Eddy in Science and Health answers the following:
Question.- What is the scientific statement of being?
Answer. - There is no life, truth, intelligence, nor substance in matter. All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all. Spirit is immortal Truth; matter is mortal error. Spirit is the real and eternal; matter is the unreal and temporal. Spirit is God, and man is His image and likeness. Therefore man is not material; he is spiritual.Then comes the Question.- What is substance?
Answer. - Substance is that which is eternal and incapable of discord and decay. Truth, Life, and Love are substance, as the Scriptures use this word in Hebrews: "The substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Spirit, the synonym of Mind, Soul, or God, is the only real substance. The spiritual universe, including individual man, is a compound idea, reflecting the divine substance of Spirit. Proceeding further she answers the Question. - What is Life?
Answer.- Life is divine Principle, Mind, Soul, Spirit. Life is without beginning and without end. Eternity, not time, expresses the thought of Life, and time is no part of eternity. One ceases in proportion as the other is recognized. Time is finite; eternity is forever infinite. Life is neither in nor of matter. What is termed matter is unknown to Spirit, which includes in itself all substance and is Life eternal. Matter is a human concept. Life is divine Mind. Life in not limited. Death and finiteness are unknown to Life. If Life ever had a beginning, it would also have an ending. This leads to the Question.- What is intelligence?
Answer.- Intelligence is omniscience, omnipresence, and omnipotence. It is the primal and eternal quality of infinite Mind, of the triune Principle,- Life, Truth, and Love,- named God. And finally the Question.- What is Mind?
Answer.- Mind is God. The exterminator of error is the great truth that God, good, is the only Mind, and that the supposititious opposite of infinite Mind- called devil or evil- is not Mind, is not Truth, but error, without intelligence or reality. There can be but one Mind, because there is but one God; and if mortals claimed no other Mind and accepted no other, sin would be unknown. We can have but one Mind, if that one is infinite. We bury the sense of infinitude, when we admit that, although God is infinite, evil has a place in this infinity, for evil can have no place, where all space is filled with God.
We lose the high signification of omnipotence, when after admitting that God, or good, is omnipresent and has all-power, we still believe there is another power, named evil. This belief that there is more than one mind is as pernicious to divine theology as are ancient mythology and pagan idolatry. With one Father, even God, the whole family of man would be brethren; and with one Mind and that God, or good, the brotherhood of man would consist of Love and Truth, and have unity of Principle and spiritual power which constitute divine Science. The supposed existence of more than one mind was the basic error of idolatry. This error assumed the loss of spiritual power, the loss of the spritual presence of Life as infinite Truth without an unlikeness, and the loss of Love as ever present and universal.
Divine Science explains the abstract statement that there is one Mind by the following self-evident proposition: If God, or good, is real, then evil, the unlikeness of God, is unreal. And evil can only seem to be real by giving reality to the unreal. The children of God have but one Mind. How can good lapse into evil, when God, the Mind of man, never sins? The standard of perfection was originally God and man. Has God taken down His own standard, and has man fallen?
God is the creator of man, and, the divine Principle of man remaining perfect, the divine idea or reflection, man, remains perfect. Man is the expression of God's being. If there ever was a moment when man did not express the divine perfection, then there was a moment when man did not express God, and consequently a time when Deity was unexpressed- that is, without entity. If man has lost perfection, then he has lost his perfect Principle, the divine Mind. If man ever existed without this perfect Principle or Mind, then man's existence was a myth.
The relations of God and man, divine Principle and idea, are indestructible in Science; and Science knows no lapse from nor return to harmony, but holds the divine order or spiritual law, in which God and all that He creates are perfect and eternal, to have remained unchanged in its eternal history.
The unlikeness of Truth,- named error,- the opposite of Science, and the evidence before the five corporeal senses, afford no indication of the grand facts of being; even as these so-called senses receive no intimation of the earth's motions or of the science of astronomy, but yield assent to astronomical propositions on the authority of natural science.
The facts of divine Science should be admitted,- although the evidence as to these facts is not supported by evil, by matter, or by material sense,- because the evidence that God and man coexist is fully sustained by spiritual sense. Man is, and forever has been, God's reflection. God is infinite, therefore ever present, and there is no other power nor presence. Hence the spirituality of the universe is the only fact of creation. "Let God be true, but every [material] man a liar."
