Rating: Summary: It's like spring cleaning your home after 30 years. Review: I have gotten more insight and more deep revelations with this book than any other. I've read Think and Grow Rich, The Richest Man in Babylon, Money 101, The Meaning of Money, Money and Spirituality, and of course 9 Steps to Financial Freedom and none have even approached digging out the deep root of self sabotoge than this book. 9 Steps has been great for the practical stuff. But OurMoney Ourselves unearths the hidden insects, bulbs and weedy roots that hinder a bountiful harvest. A must companion volume to 9 Steps to Financial Freedom and A Courage to be Rich (both by Suze Ohrman). If you can only get one, start with this book. It will prepare the soil for the seeds of 9 Steps to take root.
Rating: Summary: Money is so much more than green paper Review: You can (and probably should) read classic personal finance tomes such as "Get a Financial Life", "Debt-Free Before 30" but you can hardly apply the advice in these books till you've read "Our Money Ourselves" and figured out what is blocking you from saving and investing your cash -- it has little to do with the actual amount of cash you have! Besides offering purchasing power, money is a symbol, a means to an end ... and those symbols and ends are different for everyone. "Our Money Ourselves" makes everyone, especially women, reexamine and redesign their attitudes and relationship with money in order to make wise decisions with it.
