In their haste to get published, many forget that there is more to writing a book than just throwing together a few quotes, some generic goal-setting techniques and a few words of encouragement.
I should have known that author Charles Marcus would not fall into that trap. This is a well-written, well-organized book, with a great collection of personal stories that illustrate the author's own years of learning, applying and sharing timeless success principles.
The principles aren't new, but the combination of personal stories, illustrations from other famous people's lives, exercises and quotes shed new light on basic truths. Most importantly, Marcus remembers the big picture. True success covers all aspects of life, not just business.
Are you ready to get in the game? Let this be your guidebook out of the bleachers and onto the playing field of life.

Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Practical Advice and Powerful Reminders Review: I found the book readable and extremely practical. Success is all about action, often simple or relatively easy actions, but in the end we must get off the bench, get in the game and get stuff done. Charles Marcus does a magnificent job of providing all three of the "missing pieces" - inspiration, motivation, and most important of all, clarity about how to get started. If you want something revolutionary (don't we love anything that is "new and improved?") this isn't it. Marcus simply lays out a practical, powerful plan for doing the things we all know we need to do to clarify our goals, develop effective action steps, and then get going. Buy and read this book, but more importanty, plan to keep it on your desk and read it again and again as a gentle and helpful reminder to do what you know you "should" be doing. It's fun, it's helpful, it will make a difference. Highly recommended!
