Summary: Whether you are leaving home to live on your own
Review: for the first time, or simply feel you have missed a few points along the way, this is the book for you. Tina Pestalozzi writes in a positive, matter of fact style about important matters such as financial planning, social skills, setting up a first apartment or home, and landing a job. I bought this book as a gift for a psychotherapy client who is planning on moving out of his family home for the first time. However in previewing it, I was reminded of some tasks I need to attend to in my own household: tightening up my long term financial plan and improving my organization skills, for example. This book is perfect for both young men and women who are starting off on their own. I can envision parents sitting down with their teenagers and going through the topics together. The book is set up perfectly for this kind of discussion. For those of you about to be on your own for the first time, enjoy! This is a time in your life you will always remember.
