Rating: Summary: Just not for me Review: A lively, compact and professional quick course. This is aimed at personal communication. Although applicable to public speaking, that is only addressed by-the-way. There are clearly-directed exercises with time estimates to achieve results. You'll need a tape recorder with a microphone to get very much from the exercises. Superb sound quality. Tapes only, no text.If you want to speak more clearly, or if you want to sound more like an announcer, or if you want your speaking to have more impact, this will probably help. The title is very accurate. It could also be called, "Speak Like You Want Them To Listen."
Rating: Summary: Just not for me Review: Her voice sounds nasally just like she complained about someone else's. I couldn't follow. You have to be able to discern the sound of your own voice and how it sounds to others and how to make your voice sound like the tape. too confusing for me. finding my natural tone instead of mimicing the tape was hard. still trying.
Rating: Summary: 1st Rate Advice for Those to Busy to Consult a Voice Coach Review: I found this tape set to be very useful in my telephone sales and customer service skills training sessions. Have purchased a dozen or more sets for use by my clients. Dr. Fleming not only demonstrates what to do to improve the sound of your voice, but gives drills and exercises for doing it. Do the recordings of your own speech patterns and follow her instructions. Before long, you'll hear noticeable changes in your voice.

Rating: Summary: FIRST RATE ADVICE ON THE DIFFICULT SUBJECT OF VOICE CONTROL Review: With polish, wit and charm, Carol Fleming and a team of voice professionals present a well organized and thorough audio program covering the difficult subject of voice control. As a working lawyer often asked to appear in court, I have long sought the elusive Holy Grail of a powerful speaker's voice. Too busy to consult a voice coach, I turned to several books, discovering that to learn this skill, it really first needs to be heard. Enter Carol Fleming's 4 tape audio presentation, The Sound of Your Voice. Carol teaches you how to achieve a melodic voice that actually invites others to listen. Her program includes helpful illustrations and practice exercises that get to the heart of the matter fast. I liked best of all the style of Carol and her team, which was professional and graceful (no first-timers here). Finishing the program, my voice felt an instant mastery of the basics and a new-found confidence. Even everyday communication with family and friends has became more pleasurable. I recommend this resource as a definite "gift" to the voices of working professionals on the go.
