Rating: Summary: Happy reading! Review: Although he bases some of his work on the philosophies of others, Tony Robbins is the best of the best, and this book is another outstanding contribution. Using Tony's programs, I have lost weight, learned to exercise and gained financially. I'm happier and a whole lot healthier than I used to be. I'm suspect of anyone who doesn't appreciate Robbins' work. They are probably just too lazy or fearful to make the big changes that can turn your life around. Happy reading!
Rating: Summary: A Small Book That Can Make a Huge Difference!! Review: I gave this book a 9/10 mark simply because when you're done, you'd hope there were more to read. I actually knew Anthony Robbins before reading this book. And I have also read some of his other books before this one as well. But if you wonder who this guy is or if you don't want to spend bucks on something you may be skeptic of, you ought to try this book out. It's a 100-page-or-so book that's filled with simple but worth-reading "techniques" on how to turn your life around in various areas. Just think about what you could be passing by not buying this book (and it's at such a low-price anyway). I definitely recommend it to any self-help/improvement fanatic.
Rating: Summary: A Life-Altering Experience Review: I HATE self-help books, except for their humor potential... as in, making fun of them. This book was recommended to me by my brand new "friend"... my therapist. God, it feels funny to even utter the words "my therapist." I borrowed the book from the library last night, and started reading it at about 11:00 p.m. I literally could not put it down... and finished at about 12:30. Today, I'm ordering my own copy from Amazon, and I'm going to let everyone in my office borrow it too. I think that EVERYONE should be REQUIRED to read this book once in their lives... you don't have to buy into it, but you should at least read it. Thank you, Anthony Robbins.
Rating: Summary: Just a perfect motivational book Review: Including the Introduction this book has less than 100 pages but the people who read it know that in this book it has been said a lot...more than somebody could say in 10.000 pages. This book is a quick, simple guide to eliminate most if not all of your phobias, fears etc that were keeping you in "psychosis" for years perhaps. Tony, explores the whole meaning of his life to us in the Introduction of this book by confessing what happened one Thanksgiving Day long time ago when he was just a child belonging to a rather poor family. A simple knock on the door changed Tony's life forever and "maybe" that simple knock spurred him to become what he has become Today. In all his books, particularly on this one since this one is the simpliest - Tony finds the way, rather easily,to all our superpowers sleeping somewhere deep in ourselves and with his "Loud Knocks" (Reminders) wakes them up one by one so we could once again begin to own and live our ecstatic thoughts again, so we could forever have the supercourage to remind ourself that "No problem is Permanent...and that this too shall pass" as Tony likes to say it all the time. In this book you'll find stories about numerous "Stars" such as Billy Joel, Michael Jordan and so many other very Succesful people (just like we all are). They all share short but very lasting succesful stories and strategies that are MORE THAN EASY TO FOLLOW and yet could get us even higher than the "STARS" I have just mentioned above. So,as we all have not that perfect memory to remember everything about how to lead our lives without stress and fears of dissapointments in life - GIVE THIS BOOK A GO so you'll definitely find something between these lines that will Remind you how Special and how Powerful YOU (we) really are.ENJOY!
Rating: Summary: Short, sweet and challenging Review: Notes From A Friend is a interesting book. If you want to know more about Tony Robbins thoughts and techniques Notes From A Friend gives many of his popular ideas in a very compact format. If you are one of those people that likes a book that challenges you, asks you to exercises and change they way you think this is the book for you. I found the book quite useful from a couple of different perspectives. Some of the changes that Notes From A Friend suggests are really small distinctions, but taken together they can have significant impact. One of the examples from Notes From A Friend are the questions that you ask yourself. Notes From A Friend suggest asking questions that lead to the solution of a problem rather then victim questions such as why did this happen to me. Another distinction is how we view failures. Failures will occur if we try anything useful. It is really our reaction to these failures and what we learn from them that matters. Not content to Notes From A Friend just be an intriguing read Robbins challenges the reader with a ten day program that is a powerful application of the essence of the book. If you want to know more about Tony Robbins, his techniques and are not afriad a book that gives homework assignments I recommend this book.
Rating: Summary: Buy this book now Review: This book changed my life. I'm not a big Anthony Robbins fan. I used to be in corporate sales so I bought this book looking for ideas to improve my sales. I didn't learn how to sell more or create wealth. Instead, I learned how to change my life and improve my perspective on things. If you are depressed or are unhappy with your life and you want to change, this book will help you do so. It teaches you how to break bad habits and inspire you to change. Any time, I'm in a bad mood or I feel helpless, I read this book and it completely motivates you and provides you with confidence. There are no gimics in this book. Tony Robbins doesn't really tell you anything you didn't already know. Rather, it's HOW he tells things. He uses real life examples and people we are familiar with like the guy who started Kentucky Fried Chicken and Honda autos so he is not just giving you motivation gibberish. His advice is based on his discussions with real people who achieved success in life. I'm in medicine today which is a completey different field but I still refer back to this book. It is a gem
Rating: Summary: This book was GREAT! Review: This book is a fast-reading easy way for anyone to take charge of their lives. When I first heard there was a motivational seminar at my school based on Anthony Robbins, I was thrilled. I was even more excited when everyone recieved complementary copies of the book. I read mine that very night and I have read it several other times since. It is a great book to get you into the pilot seat making things happen - not to be a passive watcher letting things happen.
Rating: Summary: SMALL BUT POWERFUL Review: This book is full of inspiration. If you've been having trouble motivating yourself, this is the book to read. Anthony Robbins gives interesting stories that make you want to get started right away improving your life. If others can do it, so can you. Easy to read but extremely moving. I liked it so much I bought copies for all of my friends who are in a rut. This one will get you up and moving!
