Sweet Invisible Body: Reflections on a Life With Diabetes

Review: When I read _Needles_, I was disappointed by it as a book written by a diabetic with a story to tell. I was never engaged by the plot or the style. When I read _Sweet Invisible Body_, however, I found that it had been written by a *writer* with a story to tell. While I cannot describe exactly what drew me to this book, as I am not diabetic, I stayed up until 2:30 a.m. to finish it. I appreciated the presence of the author's unique style and the way her distinct voice shone. I did not find the book whiny or the cataloging bizarre. All in all, I was highly impressed.
