Rating: Summary: Thanks, Antonio! Review: Despite the fact that he has all of those stupid pic's of himself his workout is actually tough. His workout is at least 45 min long and I only did about 8 min worth of it and it wore me out. All I did was a shorter workout of his and it made my upper body feel like jelly. I don't think his workouts are that bad. The workout involves supersets done in a circuit training fashion. But the part I didn't like about the book is that his workout isn't for the beginner. It's too intense for a beginner to go for 45 min. Overall, the workout in this book ain't bad!

Rating: Summary: A Wonderful Workout Review: I have been following this workout for about a month now, and it is amazing. If anyone thinks that this isn't an effective workout, then they haven't tried it. I have tried many other workout regimens and this is truly the most intense. The results that anyone will enjoy come very quickly. If you are sick and tired of toying around with different workouts, get this book and the guesswork is over. It is the best way to build a body that is ready for anything that you are ready to throw at it. The nutritional advice also proves that you don't have to be a nutritionist to support a healthy body. Read it, try it, and you will understand.
Rating: Summary: Very Inspiring Review: I have read many exercise books and magazines and find Antonio's to be great. Although it doesn't show you upteen ways to exercise each muscle (which I didn't need) it does teach you the way to exercise for fine definition and weight management. I have been using his workout format for eight weeks. While spending LESS time in the gym than before I have lost 12 pounds, gained lean muscle mass, have abs I thought I'd never see and I feel and look great! The workout is intense because you learn how to keep exercising without stopping & wasting time. I frequently look back at the book for pointers and find the pictures inspiring. He doesn't claim that this book is for the Arnold Schwareneggers but it is for the average person who wants to get exceptionally fit and a shapely body while controlling weight.

Rating: Summary: Good, motivating workout book Review: I originally bought this book for a girl who had a crush on Mr. Sabato, but I found the book so interesting and motivating, I had to keep it. Antonio goes into the benefits of supersetting, without resting between sets. This gives a really lean look. If you want to look like those models on Men's Health magazine (definition, symmetry, toned muscle), this workout is for you. It is also very beneficial for people who do not like cardio workouts (I get bored on the treadmill). By supersetting the exercises, you take care of the cardio while building muscle. I have one suggestion, and I am surprised the book doesn't go into this. When starting the workout, you should focus on just going through the routine of supersets, and not so much intensity. After your body builds up the endurance and gets used to the workout, you can then go for higher intensity on each set. Trying to go through this workout head on will be too exhausting and discourage you from continuing, like it did with me.
Rating: Summary: Very Inspiring Review: I'm not your average book reader but I do go to the gym and work out 5 times a day. When I first heard about the book I almost didn't buy it because I thought it would be the typical diet/excercise book. I am glad I did buy it because it was not like that at all I like the fact that it's actually Antonio himself telling all about your body and working out not someone who gets info and publishes in his book. I feel that this book help me out alot it had alot of motivation and very truthful info, the pics were awesome and the workout program was great I liked the fact that he tells you how many reps/sets to do. any time I get the urge to slack off I just pick up his book and start reading it. All in it was a great book it made me feel good. GREAT JOB ANTONIO.
Rating: Summary: Good book if your serious about getting in shape Review: No Excuses takes a no holds barred approach to working out. As a previous reviewer has stated, the book is more suited for those already engaged in some form of training. The reason for this is Mr. Sabato believes in working out non-stop which equals a really tuff workout. The book itself is very motivational and inspirational. Also, the book is filled with quality pictures showing you exactally how to do something. One of the things I noticed most is that Antonio doesn't use free weights alot, but instead prefers machines. What I got most out of Antonio's book is his training methodology and dedication. No Excuses doesnt show you anything you most likely havne't seen before. However, the motivation factor and his mind-sets alone make it worth it. I would recommend it to anyone serious about training and want to fine tune there physique.
Rating: Summary: This workout may work good for you - it may not.... Review: Sabato has got the perfect mindset, attitude, and desire to build a great body and maintain a lasting healthy lifestyle. His words are inspiring to say the least. His workout is tough and not for beginners. Consider his workout if you are burnt-out with your current routine. If you looking to build mass, this workout is probably not for you. Sabato's workout consists of non-stop sets, and barely any time to recover from one exercise to another. Mass-builders will desire heavier weights and longer recovery periods. Sabato indicates that he prefers a lean, muscular build as opposed to a large, heavier build. If you feel the same, this book is for you.
Rating: Summary: Building a Muscular Physique without using extreme measures Review: There are loads of bodybuilding books out there. And to some, the price of this book may be on the high side. So, why Antonio Sabato's Workout For Life? Here's why. The physique achieved by Antonio is no mean feat. This book shows you how you can build a great physique by being moderate and commonsensical; without resorting to pills, supplements and fancy diets; and without lifting weights which may be too heavy for your own good. It's refreshing how Antonio departs from the usual oft-cited bodybuilding "wisdom" out there. Conventional bodybuilding techniques teach you to use heavy weights and to have rests in between these heavy sets. However, using heavy weights do not necessarily translate into muscles. Antonio believes in using intensity to build muscles - that means using lighter weights but moving quickly from set to set and without excessive rest. If you have trouble lifting the weights, then it is too heavy for your body, and you should use lighter weights, says Antonio. What I was impressed by was the fact that Antonio achieved his physique without resorting to any fancy diet, supplement or pill. Antonio also believes in keeping in shape all year round. So there is no such thing as an "off-season" to him and neither is there a need for him to "get in shape again". The mental attitude adopted by him is truly inspiring. Antonio helps you to rid yourself of all excuses to get yourself in shape. All I have said so far is already worth half the price of the book. The photos in this book are worth the other half. There are lots of photographs of Antonio Sabato Junior's great physique and him in action working out. If you like to get in shape but don't know how, I recommend that you get this book.
