Summary: GREAT book!
Review: I am 33 years old and read this book when I was in grade school. It was one of my favorite books ever since. My daughter who is now 9 is in the process of reading it and I've noticed that she hasn't been able to put it down YET!
This book gives insight on what it is really like to have a mentally challenged person in your life. It shows how to gain patience, understanding and, most of all, how to truly LOVE someone through the eyes of a child.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: I STRONGLY RECOMEND THIS BOOK TO ANYONE! IT SO SAD SO FUNNY AND SO TOUCHING THAT I'LL READ IT LIKE TWICE A MONTH AND STILL NOT GET TIRD OF IT. THE STORY IS ABOUT A 13 YEAR OLD BOY NAMED NEIL WHO'S SISTER 14 YEAR OLD GERRI IS MENTALY CHALLENGED AND HAS STAYED AT AN INTITUION ALL HER LIFE AND IS FINALLY COMING HOME. BUT JUST GETTING HER FROM HER HOME, TO THE CAR, AND UP THE ELEVATOR WAS BIG TROUBLE AND THERE IS PLENTY MORE COMING. BUT GERRI IS SLOWLY LEARNING, AND SOMETIMES LEARNING FOR GERRI CAN BE A BIT TROUBLE. AND ALL OF IT IS MAKING NEIL STRUGGLE IN SCHOOL. SINCE GERRI HAS COME THE OXLEY FAMILY HAS CHANGED A WHOLE LOT! SOME GOOD...AND SOME BAD. MARLINE FANTA SHYER HAS DONE AN EXELLENT JOB THAT I'M SUPRISED THIS BOOK HASN'T GOT AN AWARD!! I LOVE HOW THE AUTHOR LEAVES CLUES AND AND HINTS AT THE END OF THE CHAPTERS MAKING YOU WANT TO READ MORE. THIS BOOK IS GREAT! I JUST WISH IT WAS A LONGER, THICKER BOOK, (LIKE THE HARRY POTTER SERISE)

Summary: GREAT book!
Review: I thought that Welcome Home, Jellybean was an excellent book. I couldn't stop reading it! I really like how at the end of each chapter the author made it so you wanted to keep reading and reading. It is about a girl who is mentally challenged and she comes home. The family, especially Neil, has to adapt to Geraldine's(the mentally challenged girl) special needs. I would tell everyone to read it.

Summary: Welcome Home Jellybean
Review: Not so great....

This book is about a boy named Neil and his mentally challenged sister, Gerri. It isn't very funny. It is kind of sad though, like when Dad packs up and leaves he takes Neil and Grandpa's pictures with him and leaves Gerri's behind. It isn't the best book I'ver ever read, but it's kind of good. I don't recommend it.

Summary: Welcome Home Jellybean
Review: This is a cool book! I read Welcome Home Jellybean. It was a very good book. It's about a family that goes to pick up their 14 year old daughter who lives at a training center for mentally challenged people. She comes home and lots of funny and bad things happen. My favorite part was when Gerri pushes a red button in an elevator. Read the book to find out all the exciting things that happen to Gerri and her family.

Summary: Shyer has done it again!
Review: Welcome Home Jellybean by Marlene Fanta Shyer is an appealing book to all ages. When Neil Oxley's sister Gerri comes home from an institution, the Oxley's family life is going to change. This book was exciting and the author ended every chapter with a cliff hanger to keep you reading on. I definitly reccomened this book!

Summary: Welcome Home Jellybean
Review: Wow! I could just scream to the whole world how good Welcome Home Jellybean was. It's mainly about a boy named Neil and his family who decide to bring his mentally challanged sister , Gerri, home. Neil realizes that he is going to have some rough times now since Gerri is home. Gerri does some awful stuff to Neil. This book is exciting and is kind of predictable. I also think it deserves a four out of five stars.
