Rating: Summary: A con-artist at work. Review: I have read the entire oeuvre of Carlos Castaneda, the anthropologist who introduced the teachings of Don Juan Matus to the world via his writings, and Merilyn Tunneshende, and I cannot help but conclude that I am dealing with two different individuals, individuals whose words and actions are clearly at odds with each other.
When I compare CC's Don Juan to MT's Don Juan than I have to say that the first is the impeccable warrior and the later a very indulgent being. Providing me with a very good reason to believe that MT's Don Juan is a work of fiction that in no way is representative of the actual Don Juan. The later is backed up by CC's statement that MT's claim that she was educated by Don Juan is false. He also added, and you can look this up by doing a google search on "Carlos Castaneda interviews" and check out his last interviews, that all she was doing was ride the Castaneda band wagon for all its worth.
When I look at the knowledge she presents in Twilight Language Of The Nagual then I can't find anything that isn't readily available already in a large number of books. Unlike CC's Don Juan, hers seems to be devoid of any original concepts that CC's Don Juan had so many off.
In short, this latest MT book only confirms MT as the con-woman that CC said she was.
