Rating: Summary: This tape should be put into print again! Review: I waited 6 months to acquire this tape and it was worth the wait in gold! I have been listening to it day and night since I purchased it some weeks ago. It's one of Melody's best and I can't understand why it went out of print / circulation. I have recommemded it to many and it would be sad that no one can buy it anymore due to it being out of print. Please, please, put it back in print again! It is so useful to codependents. I learn so much and something different each time I listen to it. It's soothing, calming and helpful. Thanks Melody!
Rating: Summary: The best audio meditation tape I have ever heard! Review: This tape is so beautiful! The sound effects are beautiful, the background music is beautiful, Melody's voice is beautiful. The text is beautiful. I wish this were available on CD. This is a meditation on the 12 Steps, adapted for recovery from codependency. Melody leads you through a garden that is symbolic of your heart. She talks about being assertive and the fact that "the fight is in you"; in other words, the difficulty you are feeling is not coming from the outside world but from within yourself. "Surrender," Melody says, "just as the branches of the tree bow to the winds." "You are powerless over others, but you aren't powerless." "You thought you had to fight the world to survive. You DID have to fight it to survive. Now you're learning a better way." At the end of the tape, Melody says something very reassuring, "Now that we have come to the end of the 12 Steps, you can go back to step one. You aren't going back to the beginning; you're going deeper into your process." I have listened to this tape so many times, and it has helped me so much. It helps take the listener to a comforting place of endless compassion and imagination. Sitting in the garden with Melody, what a peaceful image that is.
