Summary: Great View of Rogers' Theories
Review: I read this book as a student in high school. I was dissatisfied with the way my education was going. Science and math were stressed and everything felt like a mold. My life lacked a human side, and I could not be myself, I had to be what my teachers wanted me to be. Reading this book helped to change all of that. Rogers shows a way to be human, rather than the machine that the scientific community stresses, but he does this in a scientific manner so it has merit within the scientific community. His theories for education are also amazing and have helped me to shape my own college education.

Summary: Beautiful masterpiece from the master humanistic therapist
Review: Welcome to the world of humanistic/existential psychology. This is the book I buy as gifts for close friends, as it has forever changed me. I too am amazed that as a clincal psychology doctoral student, this book is not a Required read in our program. If you've been considering reading about humanistic psychology or Carl Rogers, this is the book to start with! Easy read, beautifully written, and incredibly insightful. Once you read his work, you'll be hooked.
