Summary: Every woman facing mastectomy should read this book!
Review: All oncologists and plastic surgeons dealing with breast cancer patients should thank Ms. Steligo. She's just made their jobs a lot easier. This book gives an objective review of all reconstructive options, so women can make the decisions that are right for them. Every woman facing mastectomy should read this book, whether she's considering reconstruction or not.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Valuable Pre- and Post-Surgery Guidebook
Review: How I wish I had had this valuable resource when I had my first breast reconstruction some 20 years ago. Kathy Steligo puts all the facts in layperson's terms without talking down to the reader. In fact, her friendly tone made me think she was talking just to me. I recently had a revision of my earlier breast reconstruction, and this book was my "bible" before surgery and during my post-op recovery. It answered so many of my questions in a very reassuring way. Obviously, it can't replace a consultation with a plastic surgeon, but it really augments what I learned from my doctor. I plan to share this book with my plastic surgeon.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Everything from A to Z
Review: This book was a lifesaver. It provided information from dianosis to complete recovery with everything in between. It gives good common sense advise, statistics and information to help you decide how to proceed. I have never read such a comprehensive, easy to read book loaded with information. It tells you things you don't hear from the doctors, questions to ask your doctors, what to do as you prepare for surgery and what to expect after surgery. I highly recommend this book for anyone diagnosed with breast cancer.
