Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Very clear, but lacks depth
Review: I used this book for a course in personality, and therefore worked with this textbook for a good 16 weeks. The main plus with this book is that it breaks down theories to make them understandable, and then uses famous examples to illustrate them. Madonna and Hugh Grant are personalities most people are familiar with, and therefore makes the text easier to grasp.

The downside to this book is that it lacks depth in certain matters. Very important concepts need great detail, but because of the enormous field, it is impossible to go to depth in all aspects. Therefore I had to consult alternate sources to fully understand certain themes.

Overall, it was an easy textbook to work with, and I would recommend it as a tool to intruduce the field of personality.
