I was expecting another book full of insane advice and bad food choices. Imagine my delight when I read that her approach STARTS with building a foundation of Positive Energy! Imagine that she not only tells you her story, but she tells you how you can do it too! I was up on my exercise bike within ten pages of reading this book, and I'm sure that it pushed me to a new level of fitness.If you have ever wondered why you can lose weight, and then you gain it right back, you should buy this book. She talks about non food rewards and setting up attainable goals. I actually BELIEVE that Julia used these methods to lose her weight and that she STILL uses them to keep her weight off. Finally, SANITY! Thank you Julia, you have blessed the overweight who long to live a healthy lifestyle! A million thanks from a woman who really loves this book!
Rating: Summary: Sometimes we need more than a diet plan... Review: I'm not sure how I found out about Julia Havey's book, but it was a lifesaver for me. I read it in one sitting. It was just what I needed. It's not a diet, but a lifestyle change. And I could relate to so much that this woman said. Seeing how she changed her life helped me. I needed to know that someone could relate to my personal situation; that I wasn't alone in the world. Not only that, but after I read her book, I emailed her and she immediately responded to my email, offering support and encouragement. Julia Havey offers wonderful advice about making small changes in one's lifestyle, whether it's eating or exercising. Maybe this book isn't what everyone is looking for, but people are different and everyone doesn't relate to the same things. The majority of people who read this book will be inspired by it, encouraged by it, and will lose weight by using its tips.

As I read Julia's book I realized I could make small changes like drink more water and become aware of my food choices. I could slowly add activities to my life at my pace-it was fine to start with activities that I could do for however long I could do them and then as I got stronger I could add activity at my pace.
