Summary: Good, but could be better
Review: I've been doing the low GI diet for almost 4 months and am down 25 pounds, so I'm a believer. The front section of this book gave some great information on the low GI lifestyle that I found very helpful. The book is also loaded with great pictures that really let you see what you are making. However, I was less impresses with the recipes themselves. Many of them were higher in calories than I would have liked and many revolved around bread, even if it is multi-grain. But the biggest downside for me - and why I'm going to return the book - is the nutritional information - or lack thereof - for each recipe. Fiber and sugar information is omitted as is the overall GI rating of the recipe. I'm going to stick with my "Good Carb Cookbook" which gives full nutritional information for each receipe as well as its GI level (very low, low, moderate). Most people on a low GI diet set limits for themselves, and this book should respect that.
