Review: This book is something out of this world. Most of time you are saying to yourself, "I can't believe he just said that!" Chapter 3 and 5 sick out in my mind the most. I found the book interesting, but very confusing. I would have to read the book serveral times to fully understand it. But then again, I am not a ninja master.

Summary: Feel lucky to be reading this book
Review: This book opened up a whole world to my eyes. Finally I know what to do to improve myself, the rest is following the path laid out by the author. His discussion on why we act the way we do is excellent. Not only he analyzses these, he also offers the perscription using a mixture of Zen and Chi-Kung meditation. I think his blend is the most workable solution. The whole time I read the book, I had the feeling of someone who stumbled upon a dusty book left in todays China written by a master long dead. But the author is alive and well, as a living proof that enlightment and its physical side effects are not only survivable but also beneficial.

Review: This book should be mandatory reading at most colleges in the nation. It is the best, and most accessable, book on esoteric topics that I have ever read. If you are a serious about learning about yourself and what REALLY goes on inside there, you really must read this book. Please pay special attention to people and places that Shidoshi Morris mentions and look up his recommended readings. If you read what he recommends, your understanding of the material wil increase ten-fold.

Summary: The most honest book on such matters...
Review: This is the most honest book I have ever read on the topics of both Kundalini and Ninjutsu. It is a very down-to-earth account of very esoteric topics. I was familiar with only the classical Indian approach to Kundalini, and this book showed me the parallel paths that exist in Tibetan, Japanese, and Chinese traditions. Gives a very open and independent view. There is an excellent bibliography at the end for further study.
"Shadow strategies of an American Ninja Master" is also a must-read for someone who has completed this book.

Review: Wow! Few books on the martial arts are as useful as this. Mr Morris talks about things we all think about but are afraid to ask. His instrunctions and experiences are invaluable to the seekers among us. Read carefully and enjoy his somewhat strange sense of humor.
