Rating: Summary: Simple yet Powerful Review: Ashida's mind control secrets may seem simple until one takes the time to practice them. The power to relax your mind is what many realize could improve their lives, if they could find a way how. The world would be a much, much better place(including the freeways)if the masses could learn how to control their aggressions like rage, insecurity, jealousy, inc. and these techniques will help conquer these negative emotions if practiced sincerely and often.
Rating: Summary: Great Review: For those of you who gave this book a low rating, do you know WHY you cannot execute most of the moves and WHY you would hate a book like this? Because you have not the patience to learn. And what is this about the book being a bunch of meditation tech? It is much more if you seek. If you read Kim's other books you will be able to understand better. As he mentioned in every book: Only the people who have the patience and time shall learn.
Rating: Summary: What a joke. Review: I bought a copy of this book about two and a half years ago, when I first started studying budo and wanted to read everything I could get my hands on. When I read it I had never encountered anything of the sort, so I really didn't know what to think about it all. I have since encountered real budo through Hatsumi sensei, and I have since Mr. Hunter's book in the garbage, where it rightly belongs.
Rating: Summary: YET ANOTHER GOOD BOOK BY ASHIDA KIM Review: I HAVE READ THIS BOOK ALSO AND IT DESCRIBES MEDITATIONS AND THE NINE LEVELS OF POWER. PEOPLE WHO WISH TO BE ABLE TO CONTROL PEOPLES THOUGHTS THIS IS NOT YOUR BOOK BECAUSE MIND CONTROL THE WAY ASHIDA KIM USES IT HE MEANS TO LEARN AS MUCH AS YOU CAN OF YOUR ENEMY AND USE THAT AS YOUR MIND CONTROL. ONLY A FEW WILL KNOW WHAT I MEAN. SO IF YOU UNDERSTAND THIS IS A BOOK 4 U.
Rating: Summary: TALK ABOUT CRAP!!!!!!! Review: I have this book. I bought it three months ago and read it cover to cover. I also have Iron Body NINJA by Mr. Hunter (ASHIDA KIM). He's just making donkysmells with a pen and paper. I practice the art of meditation, and the Kuji-Kiri Mr. Hunter, I implor you, stop writing ninja fairy tails. The Kata he shows in the book is crap in the exterem. He doesn't properly describ perfoming the Kuji-in or any typ of meditation. He's obviously a faild novilist who bought a black karate gi and put on a ski mask. if you want to learn yo meditate, there are lots of books to help you. meditation helps control your own mind. Mr.Hunter (Kim) just wants your money, don't buy his book. In fact dont buy any of his books. there all crap. Mr. Hunter (Kim) had best "RETIRE" from his art befor a REAL ninja catches him on the street. It would be in his best inrest. Thank you for your time.
Rating: Summary: A truly exceptional book on Ninjitsu meditation! Review: I purchased this book many years ago and have found to be of extreme value. The book perfectly describes the Kuji-Kiri and teaches the reader to perform the meditative steps. You'll find the bad reviews on this book are from jealous Bujinkan students who feel the need to bash Mr. Kim in orer to promote their particular style. Apparently, their art cannot speak for itself and they have to defend it with meaningless words. To those of you who are not involved in this petiness - you will indeed benefit from this book!
Rating: Summary: IF ONE SEEKS THE PATH THIS IS THE FIRST STEP Review: I was first introduced to this book by a close friend who spoke highly of it and the techniques contained therein. Now 2 years later I purchased it and wondered why not 2 years ago. I strongly suggest this book for anyone young or old seeking to improve there mental and/or physical health and for anyone seeking the path this maybe there first step. As for those who have critised, one must know ones mind in order to use it effectively.
Rating: Summary: Ninjutsu Meditation Review: Not many people like to admit it, but this has been the number one book on Ninja Meditation for 20 years. It goes in depth into many different aspects of the Ninja's meditation techniques, covering things you can't really find in other books. It covers breathing excersises, Kuji Kiri, Elemental meditation, internal strength, cultivation and circulation of ki, mental powers, and much more. Anyone interested in this the mind techniques of the Ninja should take a look at this book. Just remember that this book won't teach you how to look into someones eyes and control them. It concentrates primarily on controlling your own mind. Think about how important that is. If you can control your own mind, you can choose wheather or not to be scared when attacked, you can choose when to be angry, or calm, etc. It is truley an intersting thing, controlling your own mind.Grandmaster Kim also has a very unique form of writing, making the book quite interesting for all readers, serious or not.
Rating: Summary: Just Falls Short Review: Not the worst book on the subject that I've read, but close. The book contains little of merit other than to increase ones intrest in the ninja. More concerned with hand movements and breathing techniques than ninja philosophy or art. Compared to the works of others (Hayes, Morris, and Hatsumi) it just falls short of anything usefull or intelligent about ninja. If it's true ninjutsu you're looking for, try one of the mentioned authors.
Rating: Summary: What, no zero stars? Review: Ok, I will get straight to the point and say that you should NOT buy this book. Ashida Kim is not Asian, and his name comes from 2 different countires (Ashida=Japan, Kim=Korea). Now, Stephan Hayes is also not Asian, but has practiced NinjUtsu. Ashida Kim does not even say in his books how he got to be a ninja. He writes this farfetched stories that couldn't even get published in a fictional book. Save your money. You want NinjUtsu, not NinjItsu, go to Hatsumi or Hayes. Not Kim.
