Rating: Summary: A throughly entertaining and meaningful book Review: As a long time Notre Dame fan and Lou Holtz supporter, I jumped at the chance to read his book. It had a message to send and I think that it did that very well. It didn't do it in just any way however. He used examples from previous experiences both on and off the field to send his message in a much more understandable and entertaining way. This book lived up to all of the expectations that I had for it and even surprised me with its humor. Holtz brings his past experinces back to life in a hilarious way throughout the book. He also includes comments on issues that I totally agree with. For anyone looking for motivation, sucess, or just a good laugh, this book is a must read.
Rating: Summary: Lou Holtz shows us all how to be a winner. Review: Coach Lou Holtz has taken his simple philosphy and given the reader a plan to achive his dreams. The bookk is easy to read and contains the heat of what Lou Holtz attributes his success to. Reading what adversity Holtz overcame to achieve his dream, makes one realize that we all can achieve our dreams if we will work. The book would be a five star, however poor editing is obvious throughout the book. Buy this book and use it to win everyday.
Rating: Summary: An inspirational, happy, easy read Review: Gone from Notre Dame now, Lou Holtz remains one of my favorite people of all time. His priorities are straight; Faith, Family, and Career. His book, "Winning Every Day," reads as if he was talking to you across the room. It's filled with all his favorite stories of growing into the person he is today. Lou gives us his "can't miss" formula to success. One of my goals (I have written out) is to meet him and shake his hand. I WILL do that someday.

Rating: Summary: Excellence requires attention to detail, i.e., proof reading Review: Holtz could inspire even the most sluggish. His message (well known to almost anyone familiar with Notre Dame or sport, in general) of hard work and attention to detail cannot be repeated enough. Imagine my surprise, then, to find many so typos. His proof reader could not have made it as one of his assistant coaches or players.
Rating: Summary: Very motivating. The same stories as in his speeches. Review: Holtz has taken the stories from his speeches and written an excellent book. His observations of attitude and trust will help us improve our lives. The editor should be shot, however. Typos and editing neglect are shown on every page.
Rating: Summary: This is one you just can't put down!! Review: I am a guy who doesn't read as much as I should but I couldn't put this book down. His stories are very motivating and delightful. I have begun to use the Coaches ideas in my professional and personal life. I have established a WIN attitude and I can't stop writing goals for myself. Thank You Coach for your words and enlightening approach to life. I am a big fan of Notre Dame and you but I guess I'll have to stock up on my Gamecocks gear now ! Good Luck and God Bless Lou Holtz and his family.
Rating: Summary: Apology Review: I apologize to all of you who got offended by my comment about the book's "grammar". I agree that one should be more attentive to his own errors when criticizing others. Please agree that it is also editors' jobs to weed out the errors and it was not done very well in this particular case.
