Summary: Nothing more than a waste of money
Review: They really market this book well in all the ads, they make it sound like this have the works in it as far as training goes for a fighter, conditioning, diet (which has a short paragraph that says eat high carbs nothing more) I read the book in less than 2 hours and basically I figured it was written by a begining part time boxer who wanted to mention the names of all his yuppie white collar friends. I was highly dissapointed

Summary: I Feel Great!
Review: This book changed my life. After reading this book I am totally fit!

Summary: Finally, A complete boxer's workout.
Review: This book has everything that a person needs to know in order to have knowledge on a real boxing workout. It shows you from the very basic things to extensive techniques in the ring. Anyone without experience will need this book and experienced boxers and trainers will appreciate everything that the book covers. By far the best book I've ever seen that works so well for everyone. It's a real knockout

Summary: Mediocre at best.
Review: This book is very disorganized and very dated. The abdomen exercises are particularly old fashioned. The parts that deal with punching and blocking are accurate but not well written or very thorough. To any would be boxer out there I would say go to a gym. This book at best will be only a suplement and not a good one at that.

Summary: Glamorizes Weekend Warriors in New York City
Review: This book is written about a boxer's workout, but it does not go into detail about the workouts and it is not presented by a boxer. It is written by a weekend warrior in New York City who glamorizes the sport for his yuppie buddies and defunct gym owners. While there is a mention of the actual workout, there is insufficient detail about the workout and its many variations. I was very disappointed with it, and I work out in New York City.

Summary: Great Book!
Review: This book lays it all out for you. How to get started, what equipment you need to buy (if any) and a step by step progression on boxing. It gives you the tools, some strategy, and of course, the "Boxer's Workout" which is great.

Five stars for this great look at boxing!

Summary: Don't waste your money!
Review: This book seems like a toast to all of the author's boxing buddies! The instructions are old fashioned and the the material is very shallow. It also has the ugliest cover I have ever seen on a book (no wonder they don't display it here on Amazon.com!)

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A good manual to the beginner.
Review: This book shows you the basic technique of boxing, a very good manual for the beginners.

Summary: Dont bother with this book.
Review: This book was a waste of money. I read all the hype in the description and purchased it. Dont make my mistake. The author spends all of his time writing about the old times and showing off his friends, none of whom are or were "real" boxers. Just a bunch of stockbrokers and accountants posing for pictures in classic boxing stances. If you want to learn about boxing and real workouts, then purchase another book (or video). If however, you want a history lesson and see some antiquated pictures, then this is the book for you.

Summary: Only Peter's friends would enjoy this book
Review: this book was written to show off the New York City white collar boxing community. It had an okay section on actual movement, defense, and punches, but seemed to focus on his white collar friends. He even used them as models, and refers to them in text. Overall it wasn't worth reading, and as far as conditioning it doesn't tell you enough specifics. Only to run, and shadowbox, not going to far into what else may be beneficial. Overall I'd say this book isn't worth a damn, and I would rather learn a workout from the likes of a Billy Zabka.
