Rating: Summary: Excellent way to capture those precious.. Review: and sometimes not-so-precious memories of pregnancy. I like that it asks questions throughout that prompt you to write about things that you wouldn't otherwise. It's a great way to track the growth, your moods, cravings, what names you're considering, etc. So far I have two and now that I'm pretty sure I'm pregnant again, I'm buying a third! Also makes a great gift.
Rating: Summary: You will be disappointed! Review: First of all this diary is cheaply made, the pages are plain and ugly, the same pictures are repeated throughout the book. This "diary" begins asking you questions about being pregnant before you actually know you are pregnant. This is repeated throughout the "diary". One prompt asks "what your baby is aware of" weeks before you even feel your baby move. Each week, you are prompted to write about your dreams. It seems boring and insignificant to write about dreams each week. I would also like to mention that this "diary" prompts very similar topics like: "what doubts do you have about the new life ahead of you" and another "what doubts do you have about being a mother". If you want a really nice keepsake- get creative and think about the things you want to remember most. Create your own prompts. Work with your mother, mother-in-law, other mothers to create these prompts that will help you create a beautiful keepsake. Don't waste your money on this "diary"!

Rating: Summary: great journal Review: I give this to my clients. As a nurse, I suggest journaling during pregnancy to all my clients. It's a great keepsake to show your child someday, also.

Rating: Summary: The best pregnancy book ever!! Review: I kept this diary for all three of my pregnancys, even the one I miscarried after 9 weeks. It gives you a weekly update of the growth and activity of your baby and really gets you through those long 40 weeks and gives you something to look back on and remember that they weren't that long after all.
Rating: Summary: Poor quality book with misinformation Review: I picked up this book not only for the journal aspect of it, but also for the information sprinkled through it. The 'Your Growing Baby' sections on week 1 and week 2 are patently, completely, unabashadly false. As this book reckons the pregnancy timetable (starting from last period and ending at 40 weeks), there is no baby present during weeks 1 and 2, unless the mother ovulated incredibly early (which would throw the book's other milestones all off anyhow). There is enough confusion and misunderstanding regarding fertility; we don't need a book telling women they conceive during their periods.
In the end, this book fulfills neither of the goals it aspires to: it is too unweildly and large to take to prenatal visits, while the information it gives is scanty and misleading enough to make it a very substandard pregnancy book. Maybe that's why I found my copy at a thrift store? Ditch this book and pick up 'Your Pregnancy, Week by Week' instead.
Rating: Summary: Excellent way to capture those precious.. Review: I really enjoyed keeping track of my pregnancy in this diary. It asked great questions about my thoughts, feelings, and dreams as my pregnancy progressed. It was nice to keep track of how big the baby was getting, what physical symptoms I was experiencing, and how I was preparing myself emotionally for our new family. A great follow-on companion to this book is "Cradle the Thought" by Tracy D. Nelson. It is a journal for the new mother to record her feelings and experiences during the first year after the baby is born. Both books are great ways for the new mother to capture the magic of pregnancy and new motherhood.

Rating: Summary: They grow up so fast Review: I used this journal to record my thoughts, expectations and worries with my first pregnancy. My daughter is now 2 - how time flys. I love referring back to what I wrote and I thank God that none of my worries were necessary. This book was a great way to record my physical growth (literally) and capture my feelings on paper because believe me you think you will remember but it goes by much too fast and it's easy to forget all the details. I'm so glad I've got this momento.
