Rating: Summary: Excellent and Timely Information! Review: As a parent, I had to struggle with my own decisions about vaccinations for my children, and with the reactions to vaccination that were very difficult for one of my children. As a health care practitoner, I discuss the topic of vaccination with the families that consult me, and strongly believe that consent must be well-informed. Parents have many questions and want to make good decisions for their children - they need accurate, factual information, presented without sensationalism, without glossing over details, without exhaustive detail that overwhelms even the most diligent parent. Parents want to know the risks of vaccinating as well as the risks of not vaccinating. Randy Neustaedter has done us all a favor by collecting un-biased research and presenting it in a factual, concise book. I strongly recommend this book to students and parents who ask me about vaccination, and offer the same recommendation to anyone reading this review. His writing style is clear and easy to follow, and he covers the topic with a fairness that comes from balanced research, rather than reactionary philosophy. If you only intend to read one book on the topic of vaccination, make it this one.
Rating: Summary: The "O" in OMD means Oriental Review: Being a new parent, I wanted to review thorough, objective scientific data based on up-to-date and sound research principles before taking the plunge and making vaccination decisions on my child's behalf. Unfortunately, this book doesn't even come close to that standard. Please be advised that this "doctor" is a doctor of homeopathic and oriental medicine (whatever that means). It is obvious from page uno that this fellow is completely biased against corporate America, and the conspiracy theories that the author eschews becomes tiresome very quickly. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND another book in the place of this one - "What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Children's Vaccinations" by Dr. Stephanie Cave (a real doctor). I cannot recommend that book highly enough. It is extremely well laid out and complete with all the facts necessary to make your choices. After reading this book all parents will understand what the issues are and what your rights are with respect to those issues. Also, Dr. Cave includes a recommended vaccination schedule based on her extensive experience, thereby taking the guesswork out things. In addition, all her research is referenced at the end of each paragraph should you wish to do additional research (I personally found that this was unnecessary however!).
Rating: Summary: Looking for a vaccine debate book? This is it! Review: I like this book, because it breaks down all vaccines seperately, and uses a LOT of evidence based knowledge. I suggest it for anyone researching the vaccine issues for thier children, and even the adult vaccines. I had a hard time finding a book that wasn't all or nothing. This book helps me make decisions about EACH vaccine, and about timing of vaccines as well. I highly suggest it.
Rating: Summary: A Must Read for All Parents Review: Randall has done an incredible job of researching the vaccine industry, as well as the epidemiological evidence for the diseases which are currently the target of vaccines. Perhaps most important is the discussion of how the human immune system really works. Another must read in the search for the real vaccine story.

Rating: Summary: good basic start-up educating source Review: The vaccine issue is very controversial and very personal. Dr Neustaedter was very informative and complete in his explanations. I highly recommend this source, but do utilize other sources to make the picture a little more complete. He seemed unbiased and non fanatical about the issue.
Rating: Summary: good book good start. Review: This book does what others don't. Most books and articles offer opinions. This book provides logical discussion with verifiable sources of all data and studies quoted. Writing is clear, comprehensive, and balanced. Read the book, verify the sources if you like, then come to your own conclusions.

Rating: Summary: Amateurish Review: This guy simply does not know what he's talking about. Having read some of the scientific articles the author sites, I am disgusted with his lack of comprehension. Like other conspiracy theorists, he takes a few out of context factoids and stretches them to fit his ideas.
