Summary: What a beautiful blessing...
Review: Lori...I read your book...the whole thing in one sitting! It was truly wonderful. Your poems are lovely and passionate. You are a wonderful author. Your words were/are alive and breathing...they weren't empty like some books are. Does that make sense? Anyway, it was a blessing in my life and I'll be reading it again, more slowly. I'll be able to glean more that way. :) I usually read a book like that pretty quickly the first time so I can get the big picture then I read it again more slowly so I can ponder and internalize aspects that I am needful of. Thanks so much for taking the time to help others...you're a sweetie, Lori. :)

Summary: Thank You Ms. Rardin
Review: Thank you to the author for putting all of my feelings in front of me/us. I have given alot of my energy to becoming pregnant and things that I once enjoyed have become a hard chore. With this book, it will give you a sense of peace regardless of your religion. The 12 steps are very helpful and something I have ran copies of and placed them around our house. Another thing was the poems, each and everyone touched our heart and soul. My husband and I would read this together at times and then at times I would read it by myself. Thank you so very much for writing this little book.

Summary: The Heart of Infertility
Review: The author got to the heart and truth of the infertility matter. I see her as a pioneer in getting people to understand it better. She shows the very difficult times she went through, and how she got herself out of them. When she mentions Mother's Day, I think that she is just reminding others to go easy on infertile couples during that type of holiday. It's all a matter of perspective. The book gave me some things to think about. I'm glad I bought the book and would recommend others buy it.

Summary: Author is bitter
Review: The author seems to hold resentment for not being able to have children. A few of the poems were okay. I did not find the book helpful in helping me with my own infertility. It was a big disappointment.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Not a handbook for me
Review: This book contains mostly poems. Most of the poems seem to be centered around the pain of infertility and none about moving on. I understand that the book is about infertility, but I thought it would have some uplifting words. I really did not find any. There seems to be a lot of pain in the book and little if any healing words. I was quite disappointed in it. The book also talks about the 12 step program that is used for alcoholics. I do not feel that the steps pertain to me as an infertile person.

I prefer a book that has a more positive, upbeat tone. I may be infertile, but I don't feel sorry for myself. Sweet Grapes is a positive book that I suggest.

Summary: Finally I feel understood!
Review: This book is amazing. If you do not believe in a higher power it is not for you. The author understands how we feel as she is going thrugh it too. This is a must have for all couples who just don't understand. Be prepared though, you will need a whole box of tissues.
