Rating: Summary: Amazing Review: An amazing book. I personally have not experienced infertility, but this book will be extremely helpful for a friend that is going through the trials of infertility.
Rating: Summary: What to Expecct when You're Not Expecting Review: Finally a book that speaks out on truth and not mere emotions. This book is so enlightening as it informs the reader of what they need to know and/or be reminded of in order to sustain them for the short or long haul while building their faith in God!As a result of this author being so transparent and sharing all the pain that she has experienced through infertility she's allowing others to grow as a result of her brokenness. Kudos!!!! This is a must read for all! I look forward to forth-coming books from this author!
Rating: Summary: Disappointing Review: I could barely get through the first few chapters. The book is more of a religious book than a book on infertility. There are prayers and scripture throughout the book designed to open your eyes to God and trust Him in your quest for a baby. Although I was raised Catholic, I find this book to be highly annoying. I found the author to be completely over the top. She was obsessed with becoming pregnant and now she is trying to force her religious enlightenment on her readers.
Rating: Summary: I Found the Solution Review: I have tried EVERYTHING to get pregnant. I was at the point of desperation and came across What to Expect When You're Not Expecting. This book talks about the author's experiences and how ultimately her belief in God helped her achieve a miracle. I have read so many studies about how those who believe in God and pray achieve pregnancy more than those who do not. (Columbia University Study). I took the advise this author suggest...and now I AM EXPECTING! After 8 years of infertility! I Love this book. I wish I had found it years ago. It would have saved my 8 years of pain, misery, frustration etc. Thank You Ty Canady for writing this book!!!
Rating: Summary: I LOVED this Book!!!! Review: I purchased this book early January. At first, I was only looking for medical advice. I wanted a "quick fix" solution to deal with infertiliy. However, when I read this book, I realized a "quick fix" it not what I needed. The book does encourage prayer, journaling, and letting go of anger, frustration, depression etc. Now I feel like a new person...and just like the author...I AM ALSO EXPECTING AFTER 12 YEARS OF INFERTILITY. I wish the author had written this book years ago! And for those of you who ONLY want medical advice, and nothing spiritual and/or inspirational - studies have shown that those who pray and have a strong spiritual life and/or have someone praying for them (with or without medical intervention), conceive 50% greater than those who do not! My advice to those of you looking for ONLY medical advice...you'll be back to purchase this book, in addition to all your medical books, and you'll experience the joy of motherhood like the rest of us!
Rating: Summary: The Best Infertility Book!!!! Review: I read ALL of the reviews before purchasing the book as well as emailed the author from the website www.tyecan.com. Then I purchased the book. I found out the author is nine months pregnant and has discussed such personal experiences that no one else would share. A couple of reviews complained about the author's spiritual overtone in the book. That did not bother me. What was most important is that she experienced infertility, overcame it and is sharing her story with people like me, so I can share that same joy. When I did a search for infertility books, this book came up as #1 in the catergory...obviously a tremendous amount of people seem to know of it and emjoy it as well. I love the book and chose to disregard the 2 or 3 people who did not like the book. I hope to enjoy the same miracle the author discusses and those who do not want the spiritual overtone in the book, will be reading 10-15 more books and still childless. I went with an author who has proven results...I recomend you do the same.
Rating: Summary: Definitely What I Needed!!! Review: I read reviews of those who were disappointed by the Christian overtone of the book and still decided to give the book a try. This book was awesome!!! I too contacted the author after reading the book. Her book is very inspiring and is what I needed. She unlike several of the infertility book author has a child after 10 years of infertility and is pregnany with her second child. She has gone through alot of the things I have gone through and is living proof that GOD will bless you with a child...not facts from some infertility doctor. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who SERIOUSLY wants to overcome infertility and all the challenges that come with it, be blessed with a Child versus tons of factual informational that will get you nothing but frustration.
Rating: Summary: Disappointing! Review: I read the other reviews before purchasing and held out hope that this book would be helpful and comforting. Instead, I found it to be really over the top. Not only does this book have numerous grammatical errors, but the author drones on and on about how she became obsessed with her inability to not have a child. I can understand that somewhat as we all deal with infertility in different ways. I'd say that nearly one-half of this book includes pages for journaling and writing your thoughts. Prayers are also included in each section. As an active Catholic, I didn't really get much out of those.
Rating: Summary: The Author Obviously Knows Something Review: I read this book and it has truly helped me in my struggle with infertility. Some people who reviewed this book are disappointed because the book only discuses some medical solutions, yet it provides REAL life experiences, emotional support, inspiration and guidance. Almost every book gives you medical information. This book discusses issues that those of us struggling with infertiity NEVER discuss with EACH other. By the way, I recently met the author at a speaking engagement..SHE IS CURRENTLY EXPECTING. THAT'S ENOUGH PROOF FOR ME, THAT HER BOOK IS AWESOME AND WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE...IT HAS FOR ME!
Rating: Summary: Book for a friend Review: I was looking for a book for a friend that was experiencing infertility issues ans I ran across this book. Outstanding material that was extremely heartwarming.
