Rating: Summary: My Personal bible I read each night before bed Review: I think no matter how old you are you can never read this book too often! I constantly reminds me of what to look for and what to stay away from!
Rating: Summary: This is the kind of woman I would like to date Review: I'm a guy and I just read this book to get an understanding of a woman's psyche. I wish all women would read this book. The woman who knows what smart women know is the kind of woman I would love to date. A woman who knows all these things and practices them would be a sure, confident, loving and non-manipulative woman who is sure to succeed with men!
Rating: Summary: This book can be EQUALLY applied to both males & females Review: I've had the opportunity of reading this book at the suggestion of my lady-friend, who wanted to know how I felt about the contents. After reading "What Smart Women Know" I feel:There is no Mr. Right NOR Ms. Right. The authors could have easily replaced the word "women" with "men" or used both "women & men" in their title and used gender neutral personal pronouns in their contents. The thoughts, ideas and information brought forth by the authors are good, however I believe to ensure that their book sales were successful they cose to use the word "women" because studies have shown that books with "women" in the title sell.
Rating: Summary: Not a Self-Help "How To" Book... Review: If you are looking for a book that will take you down the path of telling you how to "fix" a problem, keep looking - this won't be the book for you. However, if you enjoy insperational, witty, or thought provoking quotes; this will be the feel-good book for you. I started out reading this book cover to cover. Later, I realized that it's a great reference for different situations in relationships with men. It offers a "problem scenario" and leaves the reader to be smart enough to figure out how they would resolve the problem. Following, are "feel good" type of quotes. For me, this book is great to pick-up, open to any page and begin reading. It's not one that keeps my attention for any length of time. What I do like about it most, is the fact that when I put it down I feel more empowered - I enjoy the quotes.

Rating: Summary: buy it for it's comic value! Review: If you hate yourself, or if you are stupid, you will take this book seriously. If you are a truly smart woman with an ounce of common sense, this book will have you rolling! It is broken up into fictional scenerios of all the different types of "bad" relationships that a woman can have. My favourite is the one where the woman settles for a jock jerk, even though she hates sports, and seems to hate everything her mate does, but seems to think that being "securly" married is better than being a single woman. I laughed so hard! Does anybody take this book seriously? All the scenerios are followed by a list of "SMART WOMEN KNOW..." statements. My favourite is "Smart Women Know it's time to end the relationship when he makes you feel bad more often than he makes you feel good." Well, no duh. Who is this written for? 8th graders? This book just feeds into the cliche that being an unhappily MARRIED woman is better than being a perfectly happy SINGLE woman. Puh-leez!

Rating: Summary: love it! a MUST HAVE for all women, all ages! Review: Let's put it this way...I am about to order my fourth copy of this book. This, of course, is because I keep lending it out to my female friends (and the teens I counsel) and never get it back- my feeling is, "keep it, because ALL women should own it!" This is the best book ever, and once you get over the shame (I hid under my blankets and I live alone!) that you may have done all the "faux pas", you can be one step closer to being a smart woman. Kudos to the authors, and when you buy a copy for yourself, get extras for your girlfriends!
