Rating: Summary: This book 's info WORKS! Review: This book was wonderful! For someone who has suffered for so many years with severe health problems I found this book like a wonderful breath of fresh, sweet desert air! What a clear understandable book! I am in the pages, especially the chapter that speaks about mental health problems caused by Candida. The authors have done their homework. I espcially enjoyed the chapter about Clarissa Candida and what she does to Jane's body. Everybody should read this book, if they are having major health problems that do not seem to be getting better! The book is a bit jargony but I enjoyed it, it well worth the price!
Rating: Summary: Eureka! This book is a GODSEND! Review: This book was wonderful! Rating: Summary: excellent excellent excellent Review: This is a great book on it's own but can be used as a companion to "The Doctor's Guide to CFIDS" and "The Yeast Connection: A Medical Breakthrough." Do not pass up the opportunity to read this book!
Rating: Summary: An excellent choice in the fight against candida Review: This is the most comprehensive book available on candida remedies. The diet is very well planned, with food lists for each of the four phases, recipes, and guidelines for dealing with a new way of eating. The book includes a variety of testimonials from patients with candidiasis, which are very helpful because they give the reader an idea of the wide range of symptoms candida can cause, as well as the different treatment plans that can be given. The author includes technical descriptions as well as easy to understand explanations of all aspects of candidiasis. Many helpful remedies are given apart from the diet, such as teas, vitamin supplements, etc. I found this book to be extremely helpful in the fight against candida. After a month of strictly following the diet and continuing a regimen of teas, vitamins, and nystatin cream and powder, I was able to get rid of an infection that had lasted for two years.
Rating: Summary: Comprehensive Review: This is the most comprehensive book on candida I have ever read. The index is thorough. There are phone numbers of doctors that are familiar with the syndrome listed by state. I am learning much more from this book than Dr. Crook's more popular book "The Yeast Connection". This book includes more info in one source than you will find anywhere on the internet, including the candida forum (raincity.com then under health professionals) I did not buy this book from Amazon. I bought it from the bookstore and paid $3.00 extra!!! This book is technical, but easy to understand.
Rating: Summary: The Yeast Syndrome Review: Though the book contained useful information, in my opinion it was a "dry" reading. Parts of this book were very technical and difficult to follow.
Rating: Summary: Still the most practical for MANY who suffer unknowingly Review: Trained as a "regular" doctor at very fine schools, I discovered about yeast when I was looking for solutions for patient problems that "wouldn't get better." I spent 3 years perfecting a treatment program that is very simple, very direct -- and very successful. The book describes exactly what you need to know to "get better," under the care of a local physician willing to help you recover your health -- even if he/she has to step into "alternative" approaches because "usual" care simply fails to produce the results. Since 1986 publication, the treatment program has hardly changed -- that speaks to a successful, basic plan that addresses most problems for most readers who are suffering. Patients and physicians from around the world have written me for assistance with their illness problems. Happily, I have been able to stand by "the basics" explained in The Yeast Syndrome book, simply because a true understanding is hard to beat. In the past 12 years, we've gotten newer diagnostic and treatment tools, so your own physician might have some "new twists" -- that's great. But the key to understanding why you got sick and how to get better are in the pages of this wonderful book. Since publishing The Yeast Syndrome, I've gone on to self-publish books on degenerative joint disease, heavy metal intoxications, and cardiovascular diseases. The Yeast Syndrome remains my most popular work -- what I wrote is very likely true for you, young and old, boy and girl, man and woman. Please feel free to share your reviews. And please follow the program advised by your cooperative physician, so that you might enjoy more robust and exuberant health -- for the rest of your life!
