Summary: Wealth of information
Review: My husband and I bought this book before we conceived and started oohing and ahhing at the pictures during the subway-ride home from the bookstore. This book offers a good mixture of medical information and personal stories, and the illustrations are top-notch. We bought the other Miriam Stopperd book: "Complete Baby and Child Care," which is just as exciting and reader-friendly

Summary: THE BEST PREGNANCY GUIDE ON THE MARKET!!
Review: After a depressing and guilt-ridden "What to Expect When You're Expecting", I felt so refreshed after reading this book. I'm a first time expectant mother, and I found this book to be so much more informative and appealing!! The colorful pictures and great medical advice along with the sections on breastfeeding and post-natal care were absolutely wonderful. I would definitely recommend this guide to any mom. Dr. Stoppard's opinions are much like my OB/GYN's and my husband has learned a lot as well. A definite MUST HAVE!!

Summary: A Good Read
Review: I liked this book. True, it was not as in depth in a lot of the topics, but it covered a lot of material in a short amount of time. I liked the graphics and illustrations and found them helpful. The conception part is a lot like what you learn in highschool biology, but a refresher (especially ten years down the road...) was helpful.
It was a good reference, and will be something I will refer back to.

Summary: Recommended by Pregnancy editor for Bella Online!
Review: This is an excellently presented book that I used throughout all of my pregnancies. The information is clearly laid out, accompanied by good illustrations and photographs. It covers all the topics that might be of interest and some you probably hadn't even thought about.

Summary: Short on real information
Review: I loved this book. While there were a few things I did not "need" to read, there was so much I found useful. The pictures, illustrations and case studies were wonderful. The book was divided into common sense sections that made information easy to find. I bought the book 6 months ago and just found out I'm pregnant! I had let a friend borrow it, but now I need to get it back and read about what I'll be experiencing in the months to come. I recommed the book to everyone!

Summary: Excellent book!
Review: I bought this book a few weeks before my husband and I tried to conceive. I bought it because I'd heard so many terrible things about "What to Expect When you're Expecting" and wanted to steer clear of feeling bad about myself for our first child. This book is very informative and has absolutely wonderful pictures, and I look at it pretty much everyday! There's not one thing in there that makes me feel bad about myself as a new mother. I'm looking forward to reading the entire thing to get a better understanding of what pregnancy entails! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone pregnant or trying to become pregnant.

Summary: My Pregnacy Bible
Review: Buy another book if you want a wordy, detailed guide to pregnancy and birth. This book does provide solid, basic information, but the real reason to get it is for the terrific photos and illustrations. If you are a "visual" person and want to see all the changes that take place step-by-step, this book will not disappoint.
