Summary: My Pregnacy Bible
Review: I bought this book the minute that I found out that I was pregnant. Of all the books I've read, including the famous "What to Expect.." this is by far my favorite. Not only does it present various birth options and plans in an unbiased, visual, friendly and positive way, but it chooses not to dwell on possible complications-while still educating the reader.(Unlike "Your Pregnancy Week by Week")
I found the book to be well-organized and informative. The illustrations and photography are beautiful, fascinating and made me look forward to each stage of my pregnancy.
The language of the book is straightforward and non-condescending. I highly recommend this book as a positive resource for any first time moms.

Summary: Light on words, but beautifully illustrated
Review: Buy another book if you want a wordy, detailed guide to pregnancy and birth. This book does provide solid, basic information, but the real reason to get it is for the terrific photos and illustrations. If you are a "visual" person and want to see all the changes that take place step-by-step, this book will not disappoint.

Summary: Great Guide!
Review: This book was a very good monthly guide, I enjoyed that it accepted all choices of birth, including Homebirth. This is a great resource.

Summary: The best book I bought for my pregnancy
Review: I bought about 9 books when I found out I was pregnant (with twins!) This was THE book I found myself going back to over and over. Nice photos, plain language (but not over-simplified) and clear organization. I also liked that the book described different things without being preachy -- they encouraged me to be charge of my own body and pregnancy. Many of my co-workers are pregnant right now and this book has been making the rounds...as soon as a baby is born the book bag gets passed to the next! This is the book that they said had helped them the most.

Summary: A must have for pregnancy!
Review: A friend of mine had this book as a gift, and after reading just a couple of pages, I had to have my own. It seems to be the most comprehensive and accurate depiction of pregnancy that I've read. And it has real photos of real women during various stages of their pregnancy, as well as actual photos of labor...no drawings for you to figure out. I have bought two additional copies of this book for other pregnant friends, and had great reaction from them too!

Summary: Excellent!
Review: This book has so much information in it. It helps you get your questions together to ask your doctor. It starts at conception and takes you all the way through bathing, nursing, etc.

Summary: User-Friendly & Colorful!
Review: My son is now 2 1/2 years old and this book was so helpful when I was pregnant, that I JUST got it back because I have leant it to friends ever since. The format and layout makes it very easy to read and the colorful real-life photos make the whole "pregnancy and beyond" experience even more real. I remember being very excited to reach the next stage of pregnancy development to read about and actually "see" what was happening inside me. ....

Summary: My bible during the pregnancy
Review: Fact-based book with beautiful pictures. Well written and most informative.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Great pictures and reference
Review: I liked this as an alternative to 'What to Expect' since it has great photos, clear writing and a good summary of each month and trimester.

I wish there was something in there about how to bathe a baby. But this is really about pregnancy, so I guess that is alright.

Summary: Very good book!
Review: My husband and I are just getting started in trying for our first child and I am the type that needs to know about everything in advance. I found this book to be extremely enjoyable to read as well as very informational. It touched on every topic I could imagine without being judgmental which was important for me. It also had sections I could read my husband that he actually sat and listened to. I would recommend this book for anyone who is curious about what to expect. I will read it again and refer to it often throughout pregnancy.
