Review: I wrote this book in order to help those with a serious interest in the scientific study of sexual behaviour. It is the most complete review available on primates, and it took me six years to write. Whether you are a lecturer in anthropology, zooogy or psychology, or a primatologist, the book should save you a great deal of time. You may also find it thought-provoking because I do not necessarily agree with certain currently expressed views about primate behaviour and the evolution of human sexuality. I am unlikely to make any profit from this book but that is not the issue. What would really disappoint me is to have written the definitive work in my subject only to find that relatively few people bother to read it.
