Rating: Summary: Sister Goddess Testimonial Review: Last spring, I graduated from MamaGena's School of Womanly Arts armed with more self esteem and the ability to open myself up to more fun than ever! I bought the book to reinforce what I learn and remind myself to be disciplined in the art of pleasure. I highly recommend this book if you have not given up on the idea of having the life you want. Name your dreams, claim your dreams and maim all doubt. Realization of dreams is what life's all about!
Rating: Summary: Stuff Your Real Mama Never Told You Review: Mama Gena writes with a frankness and humor that's an absolute joy to read. The truths she reveals in this book are those that your mother never told you, but you desperately need in today's hectic world. You can bet I'm going to be recommending this one to all of my friends, and when my daughter is old enough, my copy is being passed on to her. Ok....maybe a new one so I can keep mine.
Rating: Summary: A tiny bit over the top but valuable Review: Positive thinking, valuing yourself first, maximizing your talents, visualization and going after what makes you happy will result in a complete and happy woman. And the message is all in one book for women.
We ladies get in a slump (sometimes for our whole lives). We put ourselves last, listen to others' wants and fulfill them. We expect a great reward for our self-sacrifice. At the same time we think men (especially) ought to know what we want, but most of us don't know what we want ourselves. A woman's paradox.
Mama Gena puts it into perspective. Her exercises can be helpful in a theraputic way (my opinion). I enjoyed the read and KNOW lots of friends that REALLY NEED to read it even more than I did.
Rating: Summary: We glow, girls! Review: Since reading this book I've had better sex, my boyfriend is much happier with our relationship and so am I, we've stopped seeing our relationship counselor, and I'm starting a serious career search for the first time in 10 years! Thanks, Mama! Any woman who wants to learn more about the power of her sensuality and pleasure, or who just wants to have more fun, should read this book. As a woman who felt I had to keep my sensuality under wraps except in the bedroom (and even there I used it mostly to pleasure men rather than myself), this book was a revelation. I'll end with a couple of quotes from a book signing I attended with Regena: 1) Every dream is worthy of your love and your lust. 2) When a woman treasures herself, the world treasures her. Let's get glowing, girls! PS Along with Regena, I'd also recommend the book Extended Massive Orgasm by Steve and Vera Bodansky, Ph.D.
Rating: Summary: Mama Gena's Review: The writing was boring and simplistic. There was no real insight to her advise. I found it to be a waste of money and a real waste of time.
Rating: Summary: Shallow, greedy, vain and hollow. Review: These mama gena books are a waste of money. Basically she recycles Louise Hay's new age ideas, adds to that what sex books have been saying for years-that feeling sexy makes you seem sexy- and puts her own incredibly materialistic spin in. What you want is all that matters. Men are here to give you things. Buy yourself a lot of presents. But most importantly, get facials and manicures and somehow this will make you feel so good that your whole life will get better. It's not surprising that this message is spreading, all you have to do these days to get women to buy a book is to put the word "goddess" in it (which she uses ad nauseum) and tell them to buy things. Save your money for presents, girls, and pass this one up.

Rating: Summary: Camille Paglia applied Review: This book is a wonderful guide. In it we find practical advice about restoring luster to the dulled feminine identity. We american girls who have had to contend with the pruitanical and modern feminist opression of our natures can find here a map to our wild, divine, mysterious, womanly essence. Regina, whom we see posing on the book flap in an off-the-sholder black dress and Manolos, knows what she is talking about. This is a book for bright, creative, modern women.
