Review: As would be expected, a man writing about women when he knows nothing about the subject. And a lot of uneducated men believe him. I can't believe that men can be stupid enough to read this garbage. I'm ashamed to call myself male.

Review: My boyfriend gave me a copy of Sex-Ploytation to read, and at first I was boiling mad, but then I re-read it and realized that everything the author says is absolutely true. I have used sex to get things from men, and I pretend afterward that I haven't. I see women doing this all the time, and now it disgusts me. Matthew Fitzgerald is right: women are basically prostitutes. They put on tight dresses and show cleavage strictly to scam drinks, meals, vacations, etc. from men. It's a very sad situation, but as the books says, dating and marriage should be abut partnership, not a whore/john relationship. From now on I'm splitting the bills with my boyfriend!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: It explains female behavior to a tee! Review: Wow! This book is a roller coaster ride! It's all true--every day I see women using their sexuality to get ahead at work, to get free drinks from men. And they're arrogant about it! It's about time somebody wrote a book like this exposing the truth about women. It's not an anti-women book, it's an anti-female behavior book. A must read for any guy, and a should-be must read for every women on the planet! Excellent!

Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: WOW, this is a book that provides humor and insight......... Review: If you are a baby boomer and single, you need to read this book to put relationships in perspective. Portions of it are a little extreme, but need to be to make the point. If you have every been burned, divorced or just raked over the coals by a woman...you will enjoy this book. Women hate this book and with good reason...
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A must read for all men! Review: This book gives great insight on the predatory thought processof todays women. I have read all the other contemporary books onmale/female relationships and Sex-Ploytation finaly comes along and has the guts to tell it like is. Women want equality until the check comes. They want to be in military, but want lower standards and then don't want to go to war etc. I highly recommend this book!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Correct assessment of female behavior towards men Review: Wow! This book tells it like it is--women using sex to get their hands of men's wallets. I keep hearing about the backlash that is coming--men are holding wallet burnings, etc. Everything Matthew Fitzgerald writes about I see in action every day--women just dangling sex to get free drinks and dinners, expecting to be paid for just because they are female, etc. And then they deny doing it! Every guy should read this book! Hopefully it will change society!
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Decent Thesis, But Way Overstated Review: I am a 38 year old male veteran of the dating game, I have never had a lot of money, and I can tell you that while Fitzgerald has some very valid points, women [as a group] are nowhere near as bad as they are portrayed in this book. I suspect that this guy has issues, because his is not the work of someone who is succeeding with women [not that I am either, but he is dripping anger and frustration]. Here and there, Fitzgerald concedes that it is not "all" women who are sharks, but the overall thrust seems to suggest that it IS all, or nearly all. Plenty of women will work hand-in-glove with you to achieve collective goals, and not just sell their bodies. Also, there are plenty of women around -- attractive ones -- who enjoy physical intimacy for its own sake with a guy who knows what he is doing, in addition to the other kind of women. Maybe region is a factor, as some areas of the country may be more as Fitzgerald describes than are others. I also lived in Canada for a while, and women there gladly ask out men and have no qualms about paying at least their own way, if not the whole bill if they did the asking. The reader gets the feeling that Fitzgerald has been rejected a few times too many, and now has a chip on his shoulder. Given his inaccurate remarks about affirmative action, I wonder if females are the only group he isn't too fond of [contrary to the book, AA "causes" neither women nor anyone else to get promoted; it only guarantees equal consideration. A full rebuttal to that point is beyond the scope of this review, but you can read it yourself in the US Code of Federal Regulations, Title 41, chapter 60, since the author didn't]. Many women actually ARE qualified for the jobs they hold. Even if others are not, plenty of men have been promoted over the years due to cronyism, yet life somehow seems to go on. This book earns a full 4 stars, however, because the author does a stupendous job of articulating the issue of neo-materailistic women who happily sell their bodies to avoid work -- while denying it -- all within a socially sanctioned framework. They are EXACTLY as he describes, maybe worse. Chapters 5 and 6 are excellent. Sex-Ploytation IS worth a read, but the BEST book of this genre is "The Predatory Female," by Rev Lawrence Shannon. It is more succinct, more humorous, and equally scathing. I recommend that one above Sex-Ploytation. If you would prefer to beat women at their own game, and [ahem] "enjoy" what they have to offer rather than find new and creative ways to insult them, then read "The System: Get Laid Tonight," by Roy Valentine, and/or the abridged audio edition of "The Art of Seduction" by Robert Greene [the latter book will take forever to wade through, so get it on audio]. Hope this is useful! (...)
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Fear Review: This man sounds like he is afraid of women. He writes as if women are a cult of evil monsters that are coming after him. Obviously he doesn't get out enough, if he did he would see that no every woman is like this. Another thing about his writing inwhich I have noticed is that he hasn't taken the time to turn the tables. Men do the exact same thing, they use their appearance to get what they want. There are Brad Pitt's and Tom Cruise's out there walking the streets of society, and they too fix themselves up to get what they want, sex, and as soon as they get what they want they walk away. Yes there are some women who use their bodies to get what they want, but there are also men who do the same thing. And this writer needs to narrow down who he's talking about. Instead of writing "women do this" or "women do that" he should write "Some women do this" and "Some women do that". Many many women work hard for their money, and no, they do not depend on men. I think this man is simply a woman hater, or he is afraid of women. If he thinks that his book is going to change female behavior, he's wrong. He's failed to write about how men take advantage of women. They marry us, but then they expect us to have food on the table for them every night, they expect us to go to work every day, then come home, take care of the kids, clean the house and make sure that everything is in order. We deserve a lot more credit than this man gives us. I think that this man and his writing is a slap in the face to every women out there fighting in Iraq. I don't see those women cheating men with their bodies! I give this book a 0/10, because this man is living in that fantasy world inwhich he talks about, only he is playing the poor helpless victim. If he thinks women are out to get his money, he should just avoid them and get a boyfriend!
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Unbelievable Review: I've heard about this kind of female behavior from male friends, but thought they were exaggerating. Possibly, this is because as a female, I have very few "girlfriends" of a certain type, and have an advanced level of education (?)
I honestly want to believe that human beings are more complex and not so much capable of the type of animalistic behavior that is here described. Yes, I believe, as another reviewer suggested, men (and women) need to take the emphasis off sex as the most important thing in male-female relationships. It is an important part of relationship, but so is love, spirituality, communication, common interests, trust, etc. Frankly, whoever reads this stuff and agrees with it I think probably has some problems and are not exactly well rounded human beings, therefore, they seek and attract women who are on the same level as they are. Trash seeks trash.
All arguments of feminism should be thrown aside, the way they are used here. This is a human issue, a respect issue, that would occur with or without the ERA, and has continued (obviously enough to sell a book about it into the millenium) past measurable gains in the women's rights movement.
